Riviera views, barefoot pace
This place perches above the Baie des Fourmis, in that dreamy stretch between Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Step out and you’re a short wander from a little beach, the coastal path and trains or buses that whisk you to Nice, Villefranche or even Monaco when you fancy a change of scene. Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and the famous Cap Ferrat coastal walk are close enough to turn into lazy half-day adventures.
Inside the grounds, it feels more seaside park than city hotel. Wide lawns slope towards the sea, pine trees provide pockets of shade and the outdoor swimming pool is made for long, splashy afternoons. There’s also a smaller pool and space to play for the kids, plus activities like table tennis or pétanque, so no one has to sit still unless they want to.
Food keeps things easy. The hotel restaurant serves buffet-style meals with plenty of fresh bits and Mediterranean flavours, and there’s a bar for coffees, cool drinks and sundowners with a sea backdrop. Stroll into Beaulieu or along the peninsula and you’ll find harbourside bistros, pizzerias and smart terrace restaurants. If your Côte d’Azur daydream is “million-euro views, flip-flop energy”, this is a very happy place to press pause.
