"We had an excellent stay at the Mondrian. A small hiccup upon arrival regarding the distribution of our 2 rooms at check-in was smoothed over by the professionalism and kindness of the staff. We were surprised to receive a bottle of champagne and macarons as a gift to make up for their mistake. We had dinner in the evening at the restaurant, which was simply superb. Back in our rooms, the bed was turned down and little chocolates were waiting for us there. The breakfast was delicious and its staff very pleasant. The valet service is at your disposal and the small bottle of water on board is a very nice touch. You are considered a regular as soon as you arrive at this boutique hotel. Truly a great discovery!"

"Luxury hotel, excellent service and private beach club. I recommend it without hesitation. Thanks to the hotel staff, they are attentive to the guests. Only downside, the bathroom is a bit small and the shower is not very functional."

"The main reason for our disappointment was poor service, In particular from the team which served Breakfast. This area of the hotel lacked clear leadership which resulted in a poor overall experience. I would go as far as to say at times it was unprofessional, sullen and on occasion rude. On our first morning we arrived in the dining area and was left standing looking quite awkward as we didn’t know what the protocol was, a number of the waiting team walked past us without making eye contact and no help or assistance was offered to inform us that apparently you could sit anywhere. Our whole experience then was to try and attract the attention of one of the team, to request tea & coffee, to request our choice of cooked eggs or to request salt & pepper to name a few. On one occasion of being fed up of trying to attract the attention of one of the team I decided to walk to the teams station for some salt and pepper when suddenly one waitress appeared and in a harsh tone said” you want salt and pepper here I get for you” she subsequently snatched the condiments and took them to our table and then walked off in an hostile manner, I was left bewildered. I would go as far as to say no eye contact with guests was a deliberate action by the majority of this team and I would also say they did not enjoy being in a customer facing profession. On occasion some Breakfast items were no longer available to replenish (I had to ask once again for some Almond Croissants) and was informed there was none left even though Breakfast Service had an hour to go. The utensil used to serve yourself with scrambled eggs had cold, congealed egg stuck to it which was extremely off putting and quite unhygienic. When we checked out the disappointment continued as none of the Reception team on duty asked how our stay had been, if they had I could have advised that our room was very good, the housekeeping team were polite & excellent and that Breakfast was a disappointment."
