"Spent one night in junior suite with husband and two 17-19-year old kids. A small hotel on Rue d’Antibes. Perfect location, in the centre but still calm. Even though the suite had just one room it felt comfortable and airy with a doublebed and one bedsofa. A bit austere with the furnishing and grey carpet, more like a business-hotel. But the bathroom was amazing, large with a bathtub and shower. And a pretty large balcony overlooking the pool-area. Supernice! Nice lounge area in the hotel and also a small pool-area. Cosy. The breakfast was fine and had everything you needed including small pancakes, small croissants, fresh juice, youghurt and coffee of choice. Never used the gym but it looked pretty good. I would without hesitation choose this hotel again!
Now to some of the things that they could work on.
The check-in procedure was very strange, confused and over-bureaucratic. I think that they really wanted everything to be fuss-free but instead made it the opposite. I counted having 6 e-mails from the hotel before going there. There was a confirmation, then 3 e-mails about paying (which I thought I did the first time but ended up having to do it all-over), 2 about early check-in (did that too) and lastly some kind of we-would-like-to-get-to-know-you mail. A bit much for a hotel-stay and certainly for one night. Upon arrival I obviously thought everything was settled but no, I had to fill out a form again!! In one of all the e-mails that I filled out before arriving I only had one wish; to be able to check in before 15. This was not met. All in all it felt like no one bothered reading all the information given before our arrival even though we got all these mails from the hotel. Either choose not to send them or send them and make the check-in fuss-free. Also when we left I had the feeling the personnel at the reception and the bar, although very friendly, are somewhat inexperienced. Just a feeling.
But this was just a minor thing, I gladly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cannes."
