Best Western Plus Cannes Riviera

"The hotel has a very central location and is within easy walking distance of the beach, which is definitely a plus. However, there are quite a few drawbacks that would make me think twice about staying here again. The rooms are very small, and the bathrooms are even smaller. The toilet and shower are combined in a rather cramped space. The beds are comfortable, although also a little on the small side. The hotel is located on a busy road, but the sound insulation is surprisingly good, and the air conditioning works well and is quiet. I also appreciated the abundance of USB-A and USB-C charging points throughout the room. That said, the floors don't seem to be very well insulated, so you can hear people moving around above you. The Wi-Fi is quite slow, although still usable. Parking is a major problem. We visited in August and both the hotel's own parking and the nearest public garage were completely full. Even stopping briefly in front of the hotel to unload luggage was difficult. When we drove to Antibes for the day, upon return, we couldn't find a parking space, as all the garages were full. If you're travelling by car, this is something I'd definitely take into consideration. Breakfast costs €20 per person and offers a reasonable selection, but unfortunately very little of it feels particularly fresh. Fresh fruit and freshly cooked eggs cost extra. The restaurant itself looks quite fancy, though. The location near the beach is convenient, but getting there requires walking through the tunnel underneath the train station, which is directly across from the hotel. This area has a reputation for feeling a little uncomfortable, although we personally never felt particularly unsafe despite occasionally encountering people sleeping or hanging around on the street. The rooftop pool is a nice feature, although it's quite small. There are plenty of sun loungers during the week, but weekends can be a different story, with lots of younger guests smoking and drinking around the pool. Another strange limitation is that you can't order drinks after 15:30. The two elevators are extremely small — barely large enough for two people, and certainly not convenient when you're carrying luggage. The lobby also frequently smells of cigarette smoke because staff smoke near an open door. Finally, the staff didn't give us a particularly welcoming impression. They often seemed bored and as though they didn't really enjoy working there. Overall, while the hotel has a great central location, comfortable beds, good air conditioning, and a nice rooftop pool, the small rooms, poor parking situation, cramped facilities, slow Wi-Fi, and generally underwhelming atmosphere outweigh the positives for me. I wouldn't book this hotel again. Next time, I'd rather pay a little more to stay on the other side of the train station, ideally somewhere that offers reserved parking."

"Amazing hotel, the staff is the BEST! From the moment I arrived, Arnaud and Alice made me feel truly welcome. They were exceptionally kind, professional, efficient, and always willing to help with a genuine smile. I have stayed in hotels all over the world, and I can honestly say I have never experienced such an outstanding and caring staff. They made my stay truly memorable. "This was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. At 2:00 AM, our room door was opened with a valid key card, and two clearly intoxicated men entered our room while my wife and I were asleep. They only left after realizing someone was inside. No hotel guest should ever have to experience something like this. When I immediately reported the incident to the reception desk, I was told it was simply a “computer error.” I find that explanation completely unacceptable. A computer error should never result in strangers being given access to an occupied room in the middle of the night. To make matters even worse, one of the men involved became aggressive and started interfering in the conversation at the reception desk. Instead of making us feel safe and taking full responsibility, the situation was minimized."
