"Almost at the end of a lovely 12 night stay at this hotel so here is our honest opinion. We travel to various countries several times per year and stay both all inclusive hotels and self catering/BB accommodation.
Hotel
The grounds of the hotel are lovely and well maintained. There are 2 separate hotels (aqua/ family side and beach/adult only side) but you can use the facilities at either. There are golf buggies running constantly between the 2 hotels from early morning until 10pm but it is only a 10 minute stroll from one to the other with staff assisting in crossing the busy road. The hotel appears to have predominantly Russian guests however there are British guests as well as several other nationalities. WiFi works well around the grounds - we did have an eSIM for occasional drop outs
Rooms
We booked an aqua deluxe room but we were given an upgrade on arrival to an aqua select room. We didn’t realise when booking that the aqua deluxe rooms did not have balconies (only French balconies). Room is spacious, clean with a large bathroom. It is cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. There is a minibar which is stocked daily with cans of soft drinks, water and beer. Tea, coffee and packets of crisps are also restocked daily. Air conditioning is individually controlled and works well. There is also a hairdryer, safe, iron and ironing board, and robes and slippers are provided. We are in block 12 which overlooks the entertainment area. We can hear music at night but it doesn’t bother us as we like the central location of the room.
Pools
There are several pools on the aqua side, including an adult only pool with comfortable sun loungers. Only the main pool is heated at this time of year so it is quite busy but we haven’t had an issue getting sun loungers- we are usually up at 8am. You get towel cards to exchange for towels at the pool and beach. The main pool plays music, does daily aqua aerobics and waterpolo. There is also a pool party twice weekly. There are lifeguards in attendance at the pools. There are several water slides and a wave pool. There are 3 pools on the adult only side which I believe one is heated.
Beach
The beach is clean, sandy and the water clear. There are loungers in an area specifically for adults only. There is also an area for water-sports. We prefer the pool so have only visited the beach a couple of times but it is popular and busy. They have beach parties but we haven’t been.
Bars
On the aqua side there is a bar in reception, the main bar outside near the entertainment area and the pool bars at main pool and kids pool. They all serve soft drinks, alcohol and cocktails as well as snacks such as nuts, pretzels and packets of crisps. In the grounds there is also a tiki bar serving cocktails. There also are several fridges around with cans of soft drinks, beer and bottled water. The adult side has a lovely beach bar. We found all the bars to be great with very pleasant staff.
Entertainment
As well as daytime activities, there is entertainment on an evening in the form of singers, dance shows, tribute acts and musicians. From what I’ve seen these are professional shows and better than some all inclusive hotels I have visited in Egypt. There is also music in the sky lounge until 1am. There is a playground for children and a kids club.
Restaurants
There is a main buffet restaurant on both aqua and adult sides albeit the adult side being much smaller and quieter. These are open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast can also be taken in the Italian restaurant. The main buffet is busy but staff always help you find a table and clean/ reset tables if necessary. We didn’t find it any busier/ more chaotic than any other all inclusive buffet restaurant that we have visited in several countries. They serve a range of foods to suit all tastes- so some unusual stuff for us British, but there is always familiar food that we have enjoyed. The buffet restaurant does themed evenings every night. The highlight of the food in this hotel is the 6 Á la carte restaurants which you can visit as often as you like with a reservation (book on either the app using a qr code or via guest relations). There are 3 sittings- 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 . Á la carte restaurants include BBQ grill, Greek, Brazilian, Italian, Indian and Japanese to choose from. We have found that the service and food is of a very high standard and we have eaten in these most evenings. There are snack bars on both sides of the hotel serving snacks, burgers, pizza, chips etc to eat in or take away in a box.
Snacks
On the aqua side, there is a donut shop serving several types of donuts on the all inclusive- there are other donuts that are payable. They also serve coffees/ iced coffee. There is an ice cream shop serving several flavours of ice cream and milkshakes. On the adult side there is tipsy scoops serving ice cream with several flavours of alcoholic toppings. These are all worth trying.
Staff
The staff are very pleasant and couldn’t be more helpful. From reception, luggage porters, waiters, bar staff, lifeguards, entertainment staff and guest relations- they really try to make your stay as pleasant as possible and are always asking if they can do anything for you. The staff here really love the English guests.
In summary, we have really enjoyed our time here and would have no hesitation in returning . We would 100% recommend this hotel."
