"Check-in & Room Accommodations
The staff at the reception speaks English, Italian, and Russian, which made communication extremely smooth. We stayed in a Superior Pool View room. While it was slightly disappointing that there was no bellboy assistance with our luggage upon arrival, the hotel management made up for it by allowing us immediate access to the buffet. Many hotels withhold the all-inclusive bracelet until the strict 2:00 PM check-in, so being able to have breakfast right after an exhausting drive from Ternopil to Bucharest was a massive plus. The room itself was a pleasant surprise: exceptionally clean by Egyptian standards, complete with bathrobes.
Beach, Snorkeling, & Facilities
The coral reef is absolutely spectacular! My brother and I are experienced swimmers, and the diversity of marine life here is unparalleled—this reef alone makes the hotel worth visiting. The beach operates on a towel card system that works flawlessly, and it was reassuring to see four very attentive lifeguards actively maintaining order.
The sunbeds are in decent condition, but the beach umbrellas urgently need replacing, as the straw is falling apart in several places. The beach snack bar offers a reasonable selection of pizza and burgers. The only significant logistical flaw is the beach shuttle bus, which runs far too infrequently.
Entertainment & Nightlife
The entertainment program deserves a solid 10/10! Every evening featured different shows at the Garden Bar, including incredible dancing and an engaging kids' program almost nightly. The acrobatic show, in particular, left our jaws on the floor! Furthermore, near the main bar, there is a stage where a live orchestra performed every day except Thursday. The music was phenomenal, featuring a great repertoire of mostly Italian and English songs. Even I, who am definitely not a dancer, couldn't help but dance along! The entertainment team did an absolutely fantastic job.
Important Warning: Medical Emergency & On-Site Clinic
While snorkeling, I sustained a deep cut from a surgeonfish. The lifeguard/beach doctor quickly provided first aid and directed me to the hotel’s clinic. Because of the rare shuttle bus, I had to walk for 15 minutes with a bleeding wound. At the clinic, they refused to accept my standard travel insurance and demanded 100 USD in cash for two simple stitches and local anesthesia.
I immediately contacted my tour operator and insurance company, who arranged a free two-way transfer to a professional external hospital. There, I received excellent care, including a venom check and proper stitching, all for my 30 USD insurance deductible. The hotel reception claimed they bear no responsibility for the on-site clinic as it is privately rented space. My advice to fellow travelers: always call your insurance directly and avoid the overpriced on-site clinic!
Food & Dining Experience
We did not visit the A la Carte restaurants because the main buffet near the reception was simply outstanding. The variety of food is huge, and everything is delicious, particularly the soups. The executive chef frequently walks through the dining room to monitor food quality and guest preferences, which shows great dedication. We enjoyed excellent themed dinners, ranging from Asian and Mexican cuisine to sushi and burgers.
A special shoutout to a waiter named Ahmed (short, with dark hair and a wonderful smile). His customer service was exceptional—always attentive, incredibly welcoming, and constantly checking if we needed drinks or fresh cutlery. He truly deserves a promotion, as he single-handedly elevated our dining experience!
Check-out & Luggage Mishap
Departure left a slightly bitter taste. On the positive side, they did not cut off our bracelets, allowing us to eat while waiting. However, the luggage service was appalling. It took the staff 30 minutes to collect our bags from the room. Worse, they left our suitcases—which contained chocolate souvenirs—in the scorching sun behind the reception. Despite the hotel having a designated, air-conditioned luggage room, our polite requests to move our bags were completely ignored. The staff only took action after we raised our voices, which is an unacceptable way to treat guests.
Conclusion:
Overall, if you are coming for the Red Sea, the amazing marine life, phenomenal evening shows, and great food, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Just be prepared to stand your ground regarding luggage service and be cautious with the on-site medical center."
