"We stayed at the Jaz Costa Mares Hotel at the turn of August and September this year, and from the very first moments it was clear that we had made an excellent choice. Immediately upon arrival, we were able to start using the all-inclusive programme. While waiting for our room—which we received approximately three hours earlier than stipulated in our contract with the travel agency—we were welcomed in the main lobby with a welcome drink and pleasantly scented, chilled towels for refreshment.
After that, we were taken care of by someone the hotel management should value immensely: Khaled Moustafa. He explained how everything in the hotel works, escorted us to our room, arranged things we could not even have dreamed of, and was always close at hand whenever we needed anything. No request ever seemed to be the slightest problem for him.
It is also essential to mention the gastronomy itself. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by the incredibly energetic Mohamed El Shazly, who informs you about the daily specialties, offers his personal recommendations on what to try, and continuously supervises both the quality and speed of service in close cooperation with Ayman Mohamed. The exceptional quality of the food is overseen by head chefs Hedyan and Essam Abdelaziz, who are constantly present in the restaurant, meticulously checking the temperature of meat and other ingredients, and always ready to fulfill any request with a smile.
For most of our stay, we were looked after by waiter Mahmoud Abo Alhag, who was unbelievably fast, cheerful, and hardworking. The quality of the food itself was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was flavorful and succulent, with a wide variety to choose from each day; throughout the entire ten-day stay, the cuisine remained original and diverse. One constant highlight, however, was the incredible duck breast served every morning at breakfast. See for yourselves…
As for the bars, we made the most use of the Anchor Bar, where Somayeh took care of us and further exemplified the exceptional standard of staff employed by the Jaz Costa Mares. During the day, this poolside bar also offers high-quality food such as pizza or bruschetta. On the beach, staff from the beach bar continuously circulate, delivering drinks directly to the sun loungers. Both bars operate as à la carte restaurants, and if one truly deserves special recommendation, it is unquestionably the one at the Anchor Bar—because you simply have not experienced anything like receiving an outstanding beef tagliata at your table, entirely included within the all-inclusive package, with no extra charge whatsoever.
Now let us move from gastronomy to the sea. The bay features exceptionally calm, crystal-clear water in stunning turquoise hues. Every day, you can swim alongside sea turtles. To the left of the hotel lies a vibrant coral reef teeming with marine life—an ideal spot for snorkeling. During our stay, we were also fortunate enough to spot a dugong on three occasions, which was an absolutely breathtaking experience.
In terms of cleanliness, the hotel also meets the very highest standards. Overall, the hotel is modern, luxurious, and extremely comfortable, but what truly elevates it to an outstanding level are the services, the gastronomy, and the exceptional team of employees—of whom the Jaz hotel chain can rightfully be very proud.
In conclusion, I would once again like to extend my sincere thanks to Khaled Moustafa for everything he did for us during our unforgettable holiday, and to thank the hotel’s General Manager, Hossam Abakhshim, for his daily presence throughout the hotel, his hard work that ensures such a high standard of quality, and for a personal meeting that left us with the strong impression that guest satisfaction is his top priority.
We cannot wait to return. This hotel is our number one choice among all hotels in Egypt."
