"Our 15-day stay at Jaz Costa Mares was truly exceptional. I have been travelling to Egypt twice a year for the last few years, and although I have stayed in many lovely hotels, this is the first one where I know without any doubt that we will come back.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with incredible warmth and care. Every day, for all 15 days, I felt like a VIP and, at the same time, completely at home — almost like a princess, where every wish was taken care of.
The hotel is exceptionally clean, modern and beautifully maintained. From the cleaners to the hotel manager, every member of staff is friendly, welcoming and genuinely interested in making guests happy. Any request is taken seriously and taken care of.
🍽️ The food is absolutely scrumptious
The food is delicious, beautifully presented and there is so much attention to detail. What impressed me most was the personal approach. If you ask for a specific dish, the cook will prepare it exactly the way you like it. If you mention that you particularly enjoy one type of fruit, they may even send it to your room.
A very special mention must go to Mr Hedyan, the main chef, who organises weekly cooking classes for guests. I was lucky enough to take part in one, and I absolutely loved it. I learnt how to make a delicious beef dish with gravy and salad from scratch, as well as wonderful volcano muffins. I will definitely be using these recipes when I cook for my friends and family back home.
During our meals in the main restaurant, Mohamed looked after us so well. He was always attentive, friendly and ready to help, making every meal even more enjoyable. His service and warm smile were very much appreciated.
👨🍳 Entertainment and activities
There is always something happening. Every day, the entertainment team keeps guests busy with different outdoor games and aqua gym.
Bruno, Victoria, Helmi and Amina are all so friendly and enthusiastic, and they will find something for everyone, whether you want to be active or simply have fun.
Every evening there is a different show or performance, making the nights enjoyable and varied.
❤️ A manager who truly cares
Mr Ahmed, the hotel manager, deserves a very special mention. He personally checks on guests and makes sure everyone is happy.
During our stay, I was accidentally carried by the waves onto the coral reef and suffered a minor injury. Mr Ahmed personally found me, took me to the hotel doctor and made sure I received professional help. The care and attention I received made me feel genuinely looked after.
🌸 Reception
A special thank you also to Basma from reception. She is incredibly helpful, always provides excellent service and is ready to assist whenever you need anything. Her friendly attitude and willingness to help made a real difference throughout our stay.
🌊 The most beautiful location
The hotel is situated in a stunning bay, full of turtles, beautiful coral reefs and even sea cows. Before coming here, we had previously paid for excursions in Egypt just to see these wonderful animals. At Jaz Costa Mares, you simply walk into the sea and you can see them almost every day!
Mr Khalid kindly gave us a room with a beautiful sea view, which meant I could watch the sunrise every morning. It was absolutely magical.
🛏️ Housekeeping and the little details
Our room cleaner, Hisham, surprised me every single day for two weeks with a different and creative composition on the bed. These little touches made me smile every day and showed how much care the staff put into making guests feel special.
🍹 Bars and wonderful service
There are three different bars where you can relax with a drink and a snack, and they stay open late.
The bartender at the Sky Bar was so lovely that he would stay with us even after closing time. At the Anchor Bar, the team is fantastic and will make your drink exactly the way you like it.
A special thank you to Ibrahim, Abdullah, Ahmed and both Mohameds — including the one with the beautiful green eyes! They are absolutely amazing: quick, attentive, always smiling and genuinely welcoming. Nobody is standing around waiting for a tip — they provide excellent service simply because they care about their guests.
And this is true throughout the entire hotel. Wherever you go, you see smiling faces and helpful people.
🎉 A real family atmosphere
I met many guests during our stay, and what struck me was how many people were returning customers — or were already saying they would definitely come back.
There is a real family atmosphere at this hotel. If you are celebrating something special, such as a birthday, I would highly recommend Jaz Costa Mares. The staff will make you feel as though they are celebrating with you as a family and will do everything they can to make your day memorable.
After 15 days, I can honestly say that I did not want to leave.
Jaz Costa Mares is not simply a hotel where you stay — it is a place where you are genuinely looked after.
