"We have recently returned from a fantastic 4-week holiday at this hotel. We stayed for 4 weeks last November and enjoyed it so much that we booked for this year (and have already booked another 4 weeks in November 2026).
What makes this hotel so special is its staff who are always smiling, helpful, friendly and very efficient, despite the extremely long hours they work. From start to finish, we were made to feel so welcome and it was lovely seeing so many members of staff that we had the pleasure to meet last year.
On arrival, we were warmly greeted at Reception and every day we would pass by just to say hello, which would also give me another opportunity to practice my Arabic!
We were very lucky to be in block 13 again this year and were very well taken care of by Assem for the first week and then Osama for the remainder of our stay. Our room was always spotless and the towel displays were amazing, particularly the mermaid!
We thoroughly enjoyed the food, mainly eating in the main Marsa restaurant, although we did eat a few times at Nobo and Breezes which were also very good. By choice we would just have breakfast and dinner but did eat lunch on our final day. There was always a very good choice from the various counters and we particularly liked the soups each evening. Thanks to all of the staff for taking care of us, particularly Ahmed who cooked very tasty omelettes each morning, the lovely lady who baked fresh bread in the outside kiln each day, and in particular Ahmed Kamal who would always have a big smile on his face and a song to sing whilst serving our drinks, clearing our plates or just passing by our table!
Members of Guest Relations staff are often mingling with the guests to check that everything is OK and addressing any problems that might arise.
Unfortunately I had a slight tummy problem during our stay but went to the on site Clinic and the issue was quickly resolved. I advised Rana in Guest Relations as a matter of courtesy and she kindly made sure to find me several times each day to check how I was getting on. Excellent customer service.
The staff are regularly moved around the hotel to the different bars, so during our 4 weeks I think we met most of them and everybody was superb. It is incredible how they remember what each guest is drinking and it always made us laugh because they would say “small gin but large tonic” each evening to us! Some of the staff even joined us dancing in the lobby bar area on Saturday evenings when the live music was being played, which was great fun.
I would love to be able to name every member of staff who we interacted with but that would be impossible particularly as some of them have the same first names and I didn’t make a note of their surnames. However, I would like to specifically mention Hani, Zohary, Nour, Peter, Helana, Abdul, Gloria, Omniya, Mohammed Safaga, Alaa, Mostafa, Sayed, Ahmed, Mohammed, Hussein, Ibrahim, Menna, Rana and not forgetting Yasser on Security. Sincere apologies to those who I have omitted to mention. I attach some photos showing some of the staff.
