"We have been to this hotel 4 times before. Always loved it but we were very disappointed this time. I presume new management has made it drop standards. The reception and grounds are beautiful, rooms need to be updated now as they are starting to look quite tired. Shower door always leaks so you have to use your towels up soaking the wet floor. Staff on the whole attentive and pleasant but some new pool boys were very sullen. The sunbed situation is a major problem. You are packed together like sardines if you are lucky enough to get one. If you go down at 6am you might be lucky. We saw money being exchanged several times with pool boys for keeping sunbeds for people who didn’t turn up till nearly lunch time. Couldn’t get reservations in the other restaurants until at least 9.30 so didn’t bother. Used the main buffet which looks like it has plenty of choice but really is a lot of the same quite bland offerings. Soup at lunchtime always nice though. Could go on with lots of areas of the hotel that we have seen decline since our last visit but won’t bore everyone. Needless to say we will not be returning."

"Unfortunately, our holiday was not quite the relaxing experience we had hoped for. The hotel felt extremely overcrowded, and it was obvious that the staff were struggling to cope with the number of guests. They were constantly rushed, stressed and visibly exhausted. We even witnessed arguments between members of staff, which was uncomfortable to see. And let’s talk about the sun loungers! If you wanted one by the pool, you literally had to set your alarm for 7:44 AM to stand any chance of getting one. Yes, you read that correctly – setting an alarm while on holiday just to secure a sun lounger! Not exactly the relaxing experience you pay for! Booking the additional restaurants was another challenge. They filled up almost immediately, making it practically impossible to get a reservation. We tried booking on our second day and only managed to secure one restaurant reservation, and even that was at a very inconvenient time. It genuinely felt as though the hotel was operating beyond its comfortable capacity. The staff were clearly working incredibly hard, and I actually felt sorry for them. This seemed more like a management and overcrowding issue than a lack of effort from the employees. A holiday should be about relaxing, enjoying the facilities and having a break from everyday stress – not competing for sun loungers and restaurant reservations! Overall, disappointing, especially when you look forward to a well-deserved holiday and expect a certain standard from a package booked through easyJet holidays."
