Fort Arabesque

"Amazing hotel . Expansive resort with well maintained green areas . Room .. We were in West bay part and the room was large , comfortable and very clean . Modern bathroom and shower pressure was good . Asked for smaller pillows and they were sent straight away . Staff .. they are the true assets of the hotel . Everyone we encountered served with a smile and we're very courteous . Nothing was too much trouble . Saw a staff member quickly help a less able elderly gentleman without being asked. Pools .. several and we didn't find any problems with getting sunbeds ( no wake up at 7 to reserve sunbeds ) Beach and snorkel .. this is why we chose this particular hotel as 1st timers to Hurghada. It was every bit as great as in other reviews . We are not very good swimmers and the snorkelling was simply amazing , right from the beach and at water depth where I could comfortably put my feet down if required . Just float and look down and an amazing world awaits ! The snorkelling was better here ( variety of fish and coral ) compared to where the semi submarine boat excursion takes you ( we did that as well ) . Amazing experience and the Christmas dinner , done on 24th evening was special with a lot of effort put in . Hope to return !"

"Stayed in West Bay resort for 1 week in December with 4 friends. The resort was clean, well maintained with lots of staff on hand to assist. Forth floor superior room was spacious, good sea views but the air conditioning unit was noisy. Fortunately we could manage without using it. The room was a bit dated. The newly built hotel block 'comfort rooms' were smaller but very clean, fresh, well equipped and modern but no sea views. The location of the resort is excellent with 1 KM of private beach and excellent snorkelling within a few meters of getting into the warm sea. Recommend you take your own snorkelling kit. Smoking at all outside restaurants, coffee areas, pools and entertainment venues was prolific with no designated smoking areas, which made it unpleasant for non-smokers, as you could not escape the smoke/vapes. Self-service restaurant and speciality Asian Restaurant - tables for 6 were very limited and we were not permitted to move tables together, so at times we had to sit separately. Evening entertainment was limited. Unfortunately, the only inside non smoking bar, the singers, ended at 10.15pm. However, the food and service is very good and we would happily stay there again."

"Just returned from a week’s stay. Hotel in an excellent location for snorkelling. We saw a turtle, octopus and a vast amount of fish and colourful coral. Very easy access to coral and attentive life guards on duty. Always got a sunbed on beach. Pool beds always looked full but didn’t bother us as headed to beach each day. Pleased with our room , although a little dated, it was roomy with a great balcony sea view. Food good, large variety at all the restaurants on offer. Particularly enjoyed the Greek Restaurant. Hotel was very clean and I particularly liked the fact that all toilets are kept exceptionally clean. Most staff were friendly, particularly the younger ones. The Animations Team were very friendly and welcoming. Would have liked a drinks service on beach. We will return."
