Sunrise Alora Aqua Park Resort

"This was a great hotel, it had everything you needed for a family. The room was nice, comfortable beds and daily restocks of the items in the fridge free of charge. The pool area was incredible, plenty of different pools to choose from. From little ones to teenagers, there was lots of slides for fun. Entertainment on every night further up near the beach which was great. Plenty of bars dotted all around and they served lovely cocktails. The inside bar was the best. Mohammed was incredible, a happy, friendly lovable guy that could speak 7 languages, he was fab! The beach is just a small walk away. Lots of variety of food but our favourite was the Indian cuisine. The curry was lovely! You do need to book at the screen near reception pretty quick. All the staff were lovely, no problems. The cleaners were brilliant, always asking if everything was ok. The only disappointments for me was there was no ‘map’ or no signs really to find the toilets. We had to ask a lot until we got the hang of the place. Not convenient when you have little ones trying to find them. Also, we were only given one key for the room which we needed two, that was a bit of a pain but I addressed to the receptionist as a helpful tip to make the hotel a little easier in the future. "Room very spacious and suitable for a disabled person with a pool outside the balcony! Cleaned daily with towels and toiletries replenished. We had liaised with the hotel ahead of arrival regarding this and would like to say how much we appreciate their kindness in accommodating a guest with health issues. Private beach with plenty of sun loungers - Beach team incredibly helpful with positioning loungers. Snack bar with ice cream machine open from noon right next to the sand. Bar on the sand also. Many different pools including three with slides and two that are adult only. Hotel shops a delight, was not aware these existed until our arrival. We found these perfect and no need to shop elsewhere. Animation staff all very sociable but not pushy. Evening entertainment provided by external performers and was excellent quality on the whole apart from one night that didn't seem to go smoothly (think the performers may have arrived late?) Most nights there was a dance/acrobatic show with a singer before and after. Three different singers throughout the week, one called Serena I think who had a weak voice you couldn't hear but the other two ladies were very good. Food at breakfast in main restaurant and at lunchtime in beachside snack bar both delicious. Main restaurant was the low point of the week to be honest, all problems that could probably be resolved with more staff. We saw lots of managers but hardly any waiters! Because of this plates were slow to be cleared and if you wanted a drink best to fetch it from the bar yourself. The cake slices were not exchanged when they became messy which made them pretty impossible to use. Our main complaint was that we are a party of five people and instead of putting two smaller tables together to accommodate us (I must stress here there was plenty of floor space to allow for this) they kept expecting us to use a table designed for only four. On the whole we would describe ourselves as very satisfied and grateful for our experience."
