"I stayed at the hotel for **4 nights and 5 days**, unfortunately adding the 4th night only two days before check-in.
I had previously stayed at the hotel in **April 2025**, so this was my second visit as a returning guest in **August 2026**. Unfortunately, this stay was a complete disaster, from the disrespectful behavior at check-in, to an unprepared and poorly cleaned room, and finally the unacceptable behavior of two animation team members, **Tito and Taz**. Overall, the experience was absolutely not worth the money.
### 1. Check-in & Reception
I arrived at **9:30 AM**. One receptionist initially informed me that a room was available on the 3rd floor, but there was no elevator. I explained that I needed a ground-floor or 1st-floor room because my mother would struggle with the stairs.
He told me to check the room and that it could be changed if I didn't like it.
The room was in the **5th and last building**, very far from the hotel's facilities, and on the 3rd floor. I checked it but decided not to take it because of the distance and stairs. I informed the housekeeping employee who had our luggage that I would return the key.
The second receptionist, who later became the subject of my complaint, responded rudely, saying that the normal check-in time was **2 PM** and that offering me a room earlier was a "favor." He then became aggressive when I explained that our luggage was still in the room, loudly questioning why I had left it there.
His colleague tried to calm the situation, but he continued arguing and said I would simply have to wait until 2 PM for another room. I told him that I would discuss the matter with his manager and left for the beach.
At around **2:30 PM**, I was shown another ground-floor room in the 4th building. Although it was still far from the main facilities, my mother preferred that we stop wasting time and accept it.
Later, the reception manager, **Mr. Mohamed**, apologized for his employee's behavior. He told me that his colleagues had already reported the incident and that he had reviewed the cameras, which confirmed the receptionist's disrespectful body language. He also told me that action had been taken. He offered to change my room again, but I refused because I did not want to move our luggage for a third time.
### 2. Housekeeping & Room Condition
At around **4 PM**, I discovered that the room had not been properly prepared. Items that had been provided during my previous stay, such as toothbrushes, bathroom slippers and a welcome fruit basket, were missing. Apart from shampoo and shower products, almost nothing had been provided.
I also found a **dirty clinics pack** placed on the commode
I spent approximately **EGP 55,000** on this trip, and as a returning guest, I expected the same standard I experienced in 2025.
When I complained to the housekeeping supervisor, he told me that these items were only provided in VIP rooms and that he might be able to provide some of them, but not all.
At that point, I lost interest in arguing and simply told him to do whatever he wanted.
### 3. Animation Team – Tito
The animation team, which had been one of the main reasons I chose to return, completely ruined the experience.
On the first day, **Joy** explained the entertainment schedule, including the **White Party** at 11 PM. No one clearly informed us that white clothing was mandatory.
When my mother and I arrived, a bodyguard blocked our way us because my mother was not wearing white for 5 min . They eventually gave her a white T-shirt so we could enter.
I have been visiting hotels in Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh for more than 15 years and have attended many white parties, but I had never experienced hotel guests being prevented from entering a party because of their clothing.
Inside, around **90% of the chairs were reserved for VIP guests**, leaving almost nowhere to sit. For a four-star hotel, and for a party lasting from 11 PM to 2 AM, I found this unacceptable, especially when guests were expected to pay extra to have a seat, usually it's the opposite but they are doing anything to get extra money.
I went to the lobby bar instead. **Ahmed**, the bartender supervisor who recognized me from my previous stay, noticed my disappointment and kindly offered me a drink, snacks and even to arrange a table. I appreciated his kindness.but i was off mood to go back to the party again
While I was sitting alone, animation team member **Tito** approached me and said, *"Hi **baby**, why are you sitting alone? Come and enjoy the party."* I told him clearly that I was not in the mood and explained that I had already experienced problems with check-in, housekeeping, the bodyguard and the party arrangements.
Instead of respecting that, he aggressively with disrespected tone told me that this was why they had bodyguards and as. He also told me if what i am dricking is alcohol and instead of sitting here getting druck , I should go enjoy the party and stop being "pathetic."
For the record, I was drinking **apple juice smoothie**, not alcohol.
I eventually told him that he has 3 sec to leave me alone.
### 4. Animation Team – Taz
A few minutes later, another animation member, **Taz**, approached me regarding the next day's boat party. I told him that this was not the issue I was discussing and asked for the details. He simply walked away without even excusing himself.
At that point, I was completely exhausted by the repeated disrespect and contacted my travel agency to ask about cancelling the remaining stay and receiving a refund.
### 5. Management Response
The next morning, my mother reported the incident to the restaurant staff and asked to speak with the animation manager.
This resulted in me having to repeat the same story **four times** to:
* **Omar**, the animation chef
* **Mr. Mohamed**, Reception Manager
* **Mr. Wael**, Guest Relations Manager
* **Islam**, Animation Team Manager
From approximately **12 PM to 4 PM**, four hours of my vacation were spent repeating the same complaint.
They all apologized and promised to personally assist me with anything I needed. They also offered me a table for the parties and invited me to a paid party worth **€50**.
Because of their apologies, I decided to give the hotel another chance.
That evening, there was a beach party with a fire show and techno DJ. It was average compared with my experience at the hotel the previous year.
### 6. General Manager & Third Night
On the third day, I met **Mr. Sherif, the General Manager**, who personally apologized for everything that had happened. He sent drinks, snacks, chocolates and fruit to the room and made sure I would attend the evening's party.
I appreciated his personal attention, although the food sent to the room was not particularly meaningful to me since these items were already available throughout the day in the buffet.
He told me that ensuring my smile was his responsibility from that point forward, which I appreciated.
### 7. Taz Incident – Physical Contact
The evening party was supposed to be part of the compensation offered to me. **Mr. Wael** told me that I only needed to mention my room number at the entrance, and **Islam** had supposedly arranged everything.
However, when I arrived, my room number was not on the list. I contacted Islam, who told me someone from inside would come and let me in.
While I was waiting calmly at the entrance, **Taz** approached me aggressively and asked where my ticket was and why am i here.
The receptionist explained that Islam was arranging my entry. Taz then provoked me to show him Islam's phone number and WhatsApp conversation or call him directly right now and I ignored him then he told me to move away from the entrance.
He then **pushed me / made physical contact with me**, despite the fact that I was not blocking the entrance.
I was extremely angry at the point and Taz noticed and did run away and confronted Islam by phone, asking how his team members could behave this way toward guests.
**Mr. Wael** then intervened and contacted **Mazen**, the head of the animation company. They both tried to calm me down from approximately **11 PM until 1:30 AM**.
I was later told that the wrong person had been removed from the situation due to a mistake by Islam.
### 8. Final Disappointment
After everything that happened, I felt that the experience I had enjoyed in 2025 had completely disappeared.
I had spent approximately **EGP 55,000** on this trip, dealt with repeated disrespect from staff, wasted hours of my vacation repeating the same complaint, and returned home with an even worse mood while already having significant work responsibilities.
Most importantly, despite all the promises made by management, **no meaningful action appeared to have been taken against Tito or Taz**. I later saw both of them again at the restaurant and at the parties.
### Overall Hotel Experience
The hotel itself has a simple boho style and is not particularly luxurious. The food is good, although the variety is not as extensive as other hotels in a similar price range, such as White Beach or Pickalbatros Blu Spa.
The hotel's strongest feature is supposed to be its **all-day entertainment and activities, continuing until around 2 AM**. This was actually one of the main reasons I returned.
Unfortunately, the behavior of the animation team completely destroyed that part of the experience.
I returned as a **repeat guest**, expecting at least the same level of hospitality I experienced in 2025. Instead, I experienced repeated disrespect, poor communication, an unprepared room, wasted hours dealing with complaints, and physical contact from an animation team member.
**For the amount I paid, and considering that I was a returning guest, this experience was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, absolutely not worth the money.**
blue spa albatross is much luxurious and 5k cheaper per night or albatross Citadel"
