Coral Beach Hurghada Hotel

"The resort's structure is beautiful, and the beach is fantastic with direct access to the coral reef from both the shore and the pier. The real problem is the decidedly inadequate management. The room was dilapidated, with dated furnishings, filthy curtains and carpets, worn-out bed linens, but the worst thing was the bathroom, which was embarrassing to say the least: old fixtures, the toilet drain pipe patched with tape resulting in leaks and odors, broken tiles, and worn-out faucets. The staff wandered around the property doing nothing, and there was so much to do; cleaning was very poor in both common areas and the room, the sheets were never changed in a week, the floor was filthy, and hair remained on the bathroom floor the whole time. At the restaurant, the only one in the entire immense resort, you had to struggle to find an available table because even the free ones were not promptly cleared and reset; it was impossible to find extra cutlery beyond what was on the table, and paper napkins were dispensed sparingly. Speaking of the food, breakfast was good and varied, while lunch and dinner were of poor quality and with repetitive dishes. Throughout the resort, there was an air of staleness; the sunbeds were old and malfunctioning, with very dirty cushions, broken flooring, undersized services, only one restaurant, one pool, and only one beach bar with the inevitable, omnipresent long line—everything was insufficient for a property of such size. I repeat, it's a shame because the property deserves better."

"Dovolená, která předčila naše očekávání – a splněný sen pod vodou ❤️ Do Egypta jsme se vrátily už po sedmé a musím říct, že tentokrát nás Sunrise Juman opravdu nadchl. Zažily jsme krásnou dovolenou, na kterou budeme dlouho vzpomínat. A přestože jsme v Egyptě už několikrát byly, tentokrát jsme dokonce poprvé strávily prakticky celou dovolenou na pláži. A to hlavně díky nádherné zátoce. Pláž a koupání pro nás byly jednoznačně největším plusem celého hotelu. I při odlivu se dalo pohodlně koupat přímo z pláže – po pár metrech už byla krásná hloubka. Zároveň je možné využít molo, kde je hned několik metrů hloubky, a člověk se dostane rovnou k otevřenému moři a nádhernému živému korálu. Pro milovníky šnorchlování a potápění naprostá paráda. Přímo u hotelu je potápěčské centrum Aquarius a právě díky jejich týmu jsem si splnila svůj velký sen – poprvé jsem se potápěla. ❤️ Jednou jsme s nimi vyrazily na výlet lodí. Čekaly nás dvě zastávky na šnorchlování nebo potápění, návštěva ostrova Magawish a výborný oběd přímo na lodi. Pro nás byla naprosto skvělá zkušenost hlavně díky instruktorům. Amálka byla na lodi jediným dítětem a mladý instruktor pro šnorchlování se jí věnoval opravdu neuvěřitelně. Vzhledem k tomu, že někteří účastníci úplně nerespektovali všechna pravidla, jsem byla moc ráda, že si Amálku vzal pod svou ochranu a opravdu ji hlídal. Neměla jsem jediný strach ji s ním nechat. Amálka si celý výlet moc užila a ještě dnes o něm nadšeně vypráví. My jsme si mezitím užívaly šnorchlování a jeden ze zkušených potápěčů nás nakonec úplně nenásilně přesvědčil, abychom si zkusily dýchání s kyslíkem. Věnoval nám svůj čas i poté, co už měl hotovo s ostatními potápěči, a právě díky němu jsme se o dva dny později odhodlaly k prvnímu opravdovému ponoru. Šly jsme pod vodu postupně, každá zvlášť s instruktorem. Dohodli jsme se, že nejprve budeme jen plavat a pokud bude všechno v pořádku, pomalu půjdeme níž. Věděl, že máme strach, a vůbec na nás netlačil. Nakonec jsem se ocitla asi pět metrů pod hladinou a ani jsem si neuvědomila, že jsem vlastně pod vodou. Žádná panika, žádný stres. Jen nádherný pocit volnosti mezi rybičkami, živými korály a dalšími mořskými živočichy. Připadala jsem si, jako bych najednou uměla létat. Splnila jsem si sen, překonala sama sebe a svůj strach – a jsem si jistá, že to rozhodně nebylo naposledy. ❤️ Velkou pochvalu si zaslouží také celý personál hotelu. Od příjezdu až do odjezdu jsme se setkávaly s neuvěřitelně přátelským a ochotným přístupem. Areál je poměrně rozlehlý a některá místa jsou od sebe dál, ale pokud potřebujete, není problém využít hotelová elektroautíčka. Jsou k dispozici dvě a obsluhují je bellmani. My jsme jejich služby využívaly hlavně kvůli Amálce, která si je zamilovala natolik, že si několikrát vyžádala osobního řidiče. 😂 Dokonce si oblíbila manažera recepce a několikrát ho přemluvila, aby ji na pláž odvezl osobně. Co by člověk neudělal pro dítě. 😂 Skvělí byli také barmani Yuseph, kterému jsme samozřejmě začaly říkat Pepa, a Ahmed z plážového baru, později i z Terrace baru. Přestože bylo vidět, jak moc jsou během dne vytížení a unavení, vždy nás obsloužili s úsměvem, prohodili s námi pár slov nebo zavtipkovali. Zezo z Terrace baru byl také neustále usměvavý a s Amálkou si moc hezky hrál a laškoval. Číšníci byli stejně skvělí a zvláštní poděkování patří Hamdymu. I v plné restauraci nám vždy dokázal najít stůl, s úsměvem a vtipem se o nás postaral a nikdy pro něj nebyl problém donést Amálce jídlo ke stolu. Přitom bylo vidět, jak moc práce má. Přesto jsme z něj nikdy neměly pocit, že ho obtěžujeme nebo že je unavený a otrávený. Naopak – působil, jako by ho jeho práce opravdu bavila. A dokonce i šéfkuchař byl skvělý. Protože milujeme jejich polévky a čočková je jediná, kterou Amálka opravdu jí, zeptala jsem se ho, jestli by ji během našeho pobytu nemohl připravit ještě jednou. Nejenže nám vyšel vstříc, ale připravil ji extra a osobně nám ji donesl ke stolu. ❤️ Co se týče jídla, byly jsme maximálně spokojené. Výběr byl podle nás opravdu obrovský a jídlo velmi chutné. Milujeme egyptskou kuchyni, takže jsme si samozřejmě nejvíc užívaly egyptský koutek. Upřímně – pokud si někdo v tomto hotelu stěžuje na nedostatek jídla nebo malý výběr, mám pocit, že už musí být opravdu chronický stěžovatel. 😂 Já jsem naopak kolikrát vůbec nevěděla, co si vybrat dřív. Příjemně nás překvapili také animátoři. Nejsme lidé, kteří by animační programy vyhledávali, ale tady animátoři často přišli jen tak na kus řeči a dokázali nám ještě víc zpříjemnit den. Velkou pochvalu si zaslouží hlavně Jovana ze Srbska, která perfektně mluví slovensky. Je temperamentní, vtipná a neuvěřitelně milá. A musím pochválit i organizaci odjezdu. Den před odjezdem jsme na pokoji našly informace, kde jsme vyplnily čas transferu a čas, kdy chceme vyzvednout zavazadla. Náš odjezd tak proběhl stejně hladce jako celý pobyt. Kdybych měla shrnout naši dovolenou jednou větou, řeknu: od začátku do konce opravdu na jedničku s hvězdičkou. Jediné, co nám vadilo, bylo to, že těch deset dní uteklo strašně rychle. ❤️ Do Sunrise Juman jsme jely s očekáváním příjemné dovolené a odjížděly jsme s krásnými vzpomínkami, novými zážitky a jedním splněným snem. Za nás rozhodně doporučujeme a věříme, že se sem ještě někdy vrátíme. A holiday that exceeded our expectations – and a dream come true under the water ❤️ We have been to Egypt seven times now, so we already have a pretty good idea of what we like and what we expect from a holiday. But Sunrise Juman truly surprised us in the best possible way. The absolute highlight for us was the beach and the sea. For the first time during all our trips to Egypt, we spent practically our entire holiday on the beach. Even at low tide, it was possible to swim directly from the beach. After just a few metres, the water was already deep enough to swim comfortably. At the same time, there is a jetty leading straight into deeper water, with beautiful open-sea views and a wonderful living coral reef. For anyone who loves snorkelling or diving, this is a fantastic location. Right next to the hotel is Aquarius Diving Centre, and thanks to their wonderful team, I finally fulfilled one of my biggest dreams – I went diving for the first time. ❤️ We decided to join one of their boat trips, which included two stops for snorkelling or diving, a visit to Magawish Island and a delicious lunch served on the boat. Our snorkelling instructor was absolutely wonderful. Amálka was the only child on the boat, and he made her his priority. Some of the other guests did not always respect all the safety rules, but the instructor kept a close eye on Amálka and I felt completely comfortable leaving her with him. He was kind, patient and encouraging, and she absolutely loved the experience. While we were snorkelling, one of the experienced divers gently encouraged us to try breathing underwater with scuba equipment. Even after he had finished with the other divers, he took extra time to show us how it worked. That experience convinced me, my sister and my niece to come back two days later and actually try diving. We went underwater one at a time with our instructor. We agreed beforehand that we would first just swim on the surface and, if everything felt okay, slowly go deeper. He knew we were nervous and never pushed us. Eventually, I found myself about five metres underwater – and I honestly didn't even realise how far I had come. There was no panic and no stress. Just an incredible feeling of freedom, surrounded by fish, living coral and marine life. It felt as if I could fly. I overcame my fear and fulfilled a dream I had had for a long time. And I am absolutely certain this was not my last dive. ❤️ The hotel staff deserve an enormous thank you as well. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming. The resort is quite large and some areas are a little far from each other, but the hotel has electric buggies which can take you wherever you need to go around the resort. There are two of them, one for around five people and one larger one. They are operated by the bellmen – although, in our case, Amálka somehow managed to acquire her own personal driver. 😂 She became particularly fond of the reception manager and even managed to persuade him several times to drive her to the beach personally. The beach bar staff were also fantastic. Yuseph – whom we all ended up calling “Pepo” – and Ahmed were always smiling and happy to have a little chat with us, even when they were clearly tired after a long day. Zezo from the Terrace Bar was another lovely person, always smiling and joking around with Amálka. You can really see how hard these people work, yet they remain professional, friendly and welcoming. We appreciated that very much. A special thank you also goes to Hamdy in the restaurant. Even when the restaurant was very busy, he always managed to find a table for us. He was kind, funny and incredibly helpful, and he never had a problem bringing food to Amálka. Despite how busy he clearly was, he always made us feel welcome and never seemed irritated or impatient. And then there was the chef. ❤️ We absolutely love the Egyptian soups, and lentil soup is the only soup Amálka really eats. I asked the chef if it might be possible to have it one more time during our stay. He prepared it especially for us and personally brought it to our table. Those little moments are exactly what make a holiday special. The food was excellent overall. There was a huge selection and everything we tried was delicious. We especially loved the Egyptian food corner and probably ate there most often. Honestly, if someone complains about the amount or variety of food here, they must be a professional complainer. 😂 There was so much to choose from that I often had no idea what to put on my plate first. We also really enjoyed the animation team. We are not people who normally look for entertainment programmes, but the animators often came over simply to have a chat and make our day a little nicer. A special mention goes to Jovana, from Serbia, who speaks excellent Slovak. She is funny, energetic, warm and incredibly kind. Even our departure was organised perfectly. The day before leaving, we received a form in our room where we could confirm our transfer time and choose when we wanted our luggage to be collected. Everything was smooth from beginning to end. If I had to describe our stay in one sentence, I would say: A five-star experience from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The only thing we were not happy about was how quickly the holiday passed. ❤️ We arrived expecting a lovely holiday and left with wonderful memories, new experiences, many people to thank – and one very special dream finally fulfilled. Thank you, Sunrise Juman, Aquarius Diving Centre and all the wonderful people who made our stay so memorable. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope to come back one day."

"We were in Egypt for the first time with my 10-year-old daughter. At the end of October, beginning of November. The flight was at night, upon arriving at the hotel we realized we wouldn't be checked in right away, and asked to at least have breakfast since we weren't fed on the plane. We were told, "Go, sit in the summerhouse at the bar and wait 10 hours, then they will feed you and give you a room." We had to wait tired, hungry, and sleepless for 3 hours, in the heat, in the autumn clothes we flew in from Russia. At this time, the hotel staff were pressuring us, imposing paid services, seeing that we were already like a squeezed lemon. But when 10 o'clock arrived, no one came to us, my nerves gave out, and I went myself to ask for check-in; it was very difficult to talk at the reception, no one understood Russian compared to the other hotel staff who spoke all languages. And then they put bracelets on us and gave us the room key, we left our things and finally went to eat. The food is certainly peculiar, the cheese crumbles like soap, the sausage is like paper, and everything is tasteless, there are also seafood, it's a ragout of hard crab claws, shrimp whiskers, and mussel shells in some overly salted sauce. After lunch, we had a long-awaited nap. Then we went to the beach, where vendors constantly bothered us by offering paid massages and excursions; we brushed them off because they didn't speak our language well. One of them stroked my daughter's head several times, calling her a rude word starting with 'Sh'.... I got upset, but he really didn't understand what he had done wrong; my daughter was in shock. The evening show program is a rural amateur performance, a one-man show. The rooms in the hotel are more or less clean, there is access to a private terrace from which you can go outside, the downside is that there is another external door from the neighboring rooms through which you can clearly hear "bedroom games 18+" of old Germans at night. The air conditioners in the rooms work well, the room cleaning is done daily while you are at the beach, they don't just wash, but even neatly put your things in place, that's a plus))) Every day after cleaning, two and a half bottles of drinking water are left in the room. We bought two excursions with our guide, to the pyramids in Cairo and on a yacht. The latter includes snorkeling with fins and a mask. If you don't know how to swim, like us, the guide gathers all such people together and you swim together, as well as banana boat rides, bubble rides, a submersible whose surface stays above the water like a ship, which is maximally safe, and a landing on a paradise island with lunch, a foam party, swimming in the sea, and all of this is accompanied by a photographer and videographer. The hotel also has evening entertainment for children while adults sip their drinks with a hookah; the children are taken to the dance floor and entertained. By the way, I do not recommend the free tour of Hurghada. This is fraud, extortion, and a scam. First, you will be led to an oil store where a woman in a white coat will brainwash everyone about the miracle of their products. Then they will take you to the second floor, where sellers with shopping baskets will meet you, each with their own seller, and they will start dumping everything from the shelves into your basket. The product is not certified, the prices are inflated by a hundred times, don't fall for it. Then they will take me to the souvenir shop, with Chinese junk."
