Sheraton Miramar Resort El Gouna

"We had a truly wonderful two-week stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is dreamlike, with the hotel set directly on the lagoon and offering either lagoon or sea views from the rooms. The rooms are well equipped, comfortable, and very pleasant. The food was excellent from breakfast through dinner. There were themed evenings, several individual restaurants, and a fish buffet on Thursdays, which can be reserved. Everything we tried was tasty and well prepared. The beach is fantastic: spacious, beautifully maintained, and never crowded. There was no litter anywhere, and the whole area was spotless. Thanks to the lagoon, there are wonderful, calm areas for swimming, while you can also swim further out to snorkel and see corals and colourful fish. The beach service was excellent from morning until evening. Throughout our entire stay, our family was looked after very attentively by Ah. Hamdy. He was always extremely friendly, helpful, and often made our children laugh with his good sense of humour. We would happily come back and can highly recommend this hotel."

"Within the El Gouna resort area, it is a top-tier property, excellently managed. The rooms are large, spacious, comfortable, and clean, with an extremely comfortable bathroom and a terrace or balcony with comfortable armchairs, a small table, and an ottoman. The organization of the property is top-notch: nothing is left to chance, everything is taken care of and structured for the guest's comfort. The staff is very courteous (not falsely polite as in other properties) and goes out of their way to assist and satisfy the guest. Everyone, from the security service to the reception, the bars, the restaurant, the waiters, and the room attendants, everyone is courteous, disciplined, smiling, and strives to work at their best. The beaches are equipped with very comfortable padded sun loungers, with staff providing beach towels daily and beach bars that frequently ask for and bring drinks, without being intrusive. The rooms are tidied and cleaned to perfection. The minibar is restocked daily for free with plenty of water, fruit juices, and canned sodas. The restaurant offers a vast space for tables, both inside with mild air conditioning, and outside, in the shade, in the sun, or in the sun with a parasol for shelter. The waiters are diligent in asking for and bringing drinks. The buffet, different in its setup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is excellently structured; it is easy to identify where the various types of food are, and there are comprehensive explanatory labels. Every day of the week the buffet menu varies; there is always something new and different to whet the appetite and let you taste specialties from around the world, even though there are some repetitive standards. Numerous dishes are prepared on the spot upon request. The food is excellent, fresh, freshly cooked, and always promptly refilled in the serving containers, which never remain empty. Optimal cleanliness, continuously. The chefs are of an excellent level. It was a wonderful experience. We felt looked after, respected, and pampered in every way. We had the impression that we spent our money in the best way possible, having received fair value. We did not notice useless displays of luxury for their own sake, but everything was of the highest level, yet practical and functional. Which is what we like: a high level, exemplary organization, simplicity and practicality of management, a lot of substance, and little useless choreography. Thanks to all the people who looked after us (listed and greeted by name in another review) and allowed us to have a splendid, relaxing, and satisfying vacation. We will definitely return."

"The resort is really very beautiful. Clean, well-maintained, and lovingly designed. With its small beaches and coves, it invites you to swim and sunbathe. At the beaches, staff members come and bring drinks to the lounge chairs. At our beach in the 9000 series, Ahmed took great care of us! The minibar was restocked daily by Mohamed, who also always accommodated special requests. The restaurant is stylishly and modernly furnished with many small details. The staff there were really all always very friendly and helpful and up for a laugh. Above all, Mariam and Omar were very professional and totally lovely and warm while doing so. The food was always excellent. A colorful variety, great quality of products, simply something for everyone. I would like to explicitly highlight the bread selection! For the German palate, it was phenomenal! If you ever had a request or needed organizational help, Mai at the reception was our first choice. She was always warm, knew everyone by name, and took care of everything! Although I would like to say that all other employees at the reception also do a great job. In general, the staff was friendly and helpful in all situations. That started at the gate and ended with the gardeners. Bad moods are unknown when dealing with guests there. We will definitely be back!"
