"I booked the DELUXE double room in this hotel for 9 nights but had to leave after the first night because the actual condition of the property was nothing like what is shown online.
The building was in poor and unsafe condition – with visible structural damage, exposed electrical wiring, and a bathroom that did not function properly. Several listed amenities were either missing or not usable.
The overall level of cleanliness was absolutely unacceptable.
The room, bathroom, and common areas were very dirty and poorly maintained. The mattress was revolting – heavily stained, uncomfortable, and clearly not properly cleaned. You can see the condition in the photos I took. The bathroom was unhygienic, and I didn’t feel safe letting my child use it.
There were numerous issues and defects:
The door frame of the main door was cracked and unstable, giving a strong sense of insecurity.
A hairdryer was provided, but the plug did not fit any outlet in the room – completely useless.
There was no functioning toilet flush, making the bathroom unsanitary.
No soap, shampoo, or basic hygiene products were provided – which is a bare minimum, even for budget accommodations.
Tea and coffee were offered, but there was no kettle or way to boil water.
The Wi-Fi never worked, despite being advertised.
The elevator had no inner door, making it dangerous, especially for children – the wall passed by visibly while riding.
When I checked out, the hotel staff told me to cancel the booking via Agoda, although I had paid the full amount directly at the hotel by credit card.
Agoda later informed me that the hotel does not accept cancellations via the app, so I was sent in circles. It seems the hotel simply wanted to avoid responsibility, because after that, they ignored all four of my emails and never offered a response or solution.
Even worse, the hotel then provided false information to Agoda, claiming I stayed longer – which is not true.
To this day, no refund has been issued for the unused nights – neither by the hotel nor by Agoda.
Unfortunately, I also have to say that Agoda has completely failed to support me in this matter, despite my repeated efforts.
Also note: the hotel is next to a very busy road, which makes it quite noisy – something not disclosed in the listing.
In my opinion, the listing is highly misleading and does not reflect reality. The hotel is not safe, not clean, and the service was completely unresponsive and dishonest.
I strongly advise all travelers – especially families – to avoid this property. There are many better and safer alternatives in Cairo."
