Jasmine Pyramids Hotel

"The hotel comprises some rooms inside a large modern looking compound built around a courtyard, with a small pool in the centre. There is at least one other hotel with rooms in the same compound, as well as privately owned rooms. The wifi internet was extremely slow and continually dropped out, the hotel tried multiple times to improve the signal. My room was comfortable and spacious, but looked a little tired, and had a kettle and a refrigerator. It was on the first floor and there was some noise from staff that sat outside below, and noisy airconditioner units that cut in and out right outside the window. There was no road noise which other Giza hotels have. Contrary to what the hotel will tell you, a tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) with a guide is absolutely not necessary. If you do buy a tour through them at least make sure you can understand your guide before paying. It’s possible to walk to GEM in about 15 minutes, but you may need the help of a local to cross a busy 10 lane road - which they are eager to do for a tip. Taxis are everywhere and cheap. There are a few restaurants close by, but most only have a buffet. They served a reasonable breakfast at the hotel. The guys that run the hotel were friendly and helpful and did their best."

"What a wonderful welcome I received! They couldn't do enough to help me. The hotel is very clean, peaceful, and I slept so well in the very comfortablebed! There is a lot of choice for breakfast and a fridge in the room to keep your water cool. Definitely recommend "
