Vangelis Hotel & Suites

"We arrived for a 14 night stay in the early hours at around 2am. We were greeted by the reception team whom were wonderful explaining everything. We were helped to our room where sandwiches and a beautiful fruit platter as well as wine had been left for our arrival. We were pretty exhausted at this point due to some travel delays from the U.K. but slept very well on the memory foam mattress, very comfortable. You also have a pillow menu should you wish at an extra charge but a soft and firmer pillow were available on each side of the super king bed which was perfect for us. The hotel itself is set right in the middle of the strip so it’s a convenient location to visit the beaches, go for costal or town walks and go out and see the night life. The hotel offers entertainment and even though we always go all inclusive we do like to go out of an evening after dinner to see local bands and find live music and other entertainers. We have always felt it’s good to support all businesses that rely on seasonal income. All inclusive in the hotel is three meals a day on the Venus restaurant as well as snacks and drinks from the pool bars daily from 10am -6pm then the lobby bar takes over with drinks and cocktails taking over from there. We had some lovely cocktails including mojitos, pina colada and local beers Leon and Keo. The food in the restaurant is outstanding when you realise what’s being catered for a range of themed evenings comprises of Mexican, Italian and of course Cypriot. There is something for everyone and I especially enjoyed trying some fantastic fish dishes during my stay. The plates are hot, the food was always hot despite eating at various times and I urge anyone to try new things whilst staying. The soups were also wonderfully seasoned as is all the food and very tasty. So much choice and variety. During your stay you can eat at their fine dine Mediterranean restaurant The Robolo as part of your package. We always do, it’s a wonderful experience with some great dishes. I had the pork belly with a red wine reduction which literally melted in my mouth. We always leave a good tip and I urge you to do the same. Onsite there is a cafe, The Cafe Amarena , you get 20% off as a hotel guest and they do a great cappuccino and milkshakes too. Their cakes and pastries are wonderful! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We ended up in there every day as we do love a good coffee! We give the girls ( I don’t know their names) a shout out, but have added a photo of them. We were never disappointed! I do have to give a shout out to the restaurant manager Constantino ( the great) and Maria too whom are so very organised and work so wonderfully together. The pair always made sure we were okay and asked about our day despite being busy, a small gesture that can mean so much sometimes. Their team in the restaurant from chefs to waiting staff etc work incredibly hard and you can see the care and team spirit they have working together. We had another wonderful stay. Our third in succession and our 4th over the years. The place never disappoints us. It’s clean, tidy and goes above and beyond to make your stay a great one. Thank you again Vangellis !"

"Location was very good, on the main stretch overlooking the beach. Room was lovely and although overlooking the High Street, when the balcony door was closed, you couldn’t hear any noise. Great atmosphere in the hotel and very good value."
