"Wow, well what can I say about our stay!I went to the King Jason with one of my friends and it has been the most amazing holiday I have been on.Firstly the hotel itself is so nicely set out with everything in easy reach, it is so spotless that you can walk around barefoot around all of the outside spaces. The sunbeds and loungers are cleaned daily as are all of the pool areas and footpaths. There are plenty of places to sit and relax with sunbeds galore! There are also big 4 poster bed style loungers, circular beds by the pool and lots of choice either in or out of the sun.The hydro pool was a favourite of ours, being a bit warmer in temperature it was easier to tolerate after being in the heat of the sun.The different jets to massage all areas of the body were very welcome after such strenuous sunbathing.
Onto one of my favourite things to discuss... the food and the drink!!!
Now this was one of the reasons we chose King Jason, after seeing everyone else's reviews it was an easy choice to make, but we did wonder if the hype was real.LET ME TELL YOU... you will not get better food than we had here, every single option was delicious, everything was freshly prepared, fully stocked, the salads were crisp and delicious with no end of toppings and dressing to add at your leisure. The hot food buffet was plentiful and the options were always varied, from Chinese night to Sunday roast, the meats were tender and juicy, the vegetables roasted and so tasty. The carvery section offered such delights as roasted beef with peppercorn sauce, Salmon en croute with herby sauce, porchetta stuffed with cheese with the most amazing crackling.Lots of variety of breads and pastries, olive oil and balsamic vinegar's, olives and sundried tomatoes. Cheese boards to die for with nuts and fruits, crackers and breadsticks, we were in our element. The desert table brimming with delights from fresh fruit to apple crumble and custard, creme brulee to jelly shots and cakes and cheesecakes in abundance. Then there's breakfast! omelettes cooked to order by the most amazing chef (but we will come to him later) every kind of egg you could want, toast, waffles, pancakes, different types of bacon and sausage, roasted courgette and aubergine, it was all so delicious it was hard to choose what to have. There's also a snack menu running which not a lot of people were aware of which contains the most delicious crispy chicken burger and chips that tasted like they were straight from the chippy lol. Don't forget to order yourself a chocolate milkshake as these are elite.
Let's get onto the drinks!
Ice cold lattes flavoured to your desire, hot coffee in whatever style you wanted, a selection of teas and of course all the juices and cold fizzy drinks too.The cocktails are OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious, and don't you worry we tried them all!!!The passion fruit caprioska was definitely my favourite, closely followed by the frozen strawberry daiquiri, we also tried daiquiris and mojitos in every flavour, coconut, lime, lemon, passionfruit, strawberry and banana, and mango.Your glass will NEVER be empty here trust me.
The staff, or should I say, our new family and friends!
I feel like shedding a tear just talking about them as they are the most friendly, attentive, kind, caring, funny people you will meet.Honestly I have never been on holiday and felt this way about the people who work there. From the minute you step foot in the hotel you are treated like a friend or family member. Maria was there every morning and the minute I stepped foot onto the patio area she said caramel iced latte and a large Coke zero! That's how attentive they are, they remember everything like you're royalty. So lovely to be greeted by her every morning it just was a great start to every day.
We then enter the breakfast room to be greeted by the omelette Chef George, who was not in fact the Chef but the operations manager, he just loves to be everyone's happy and lively wake up call, he's like the Santa of breakfasts, that happy smiling warm face that we just loved to much, his energy and spirit just lit up the room whenever he was around.
After breakfast we would head to the pool area where the boys well and truly looked after us, Mike was the cocktail maker, and boy did we put him to work! there was nothing that we asked for that he wouldn't do. Each and every cocktail was tasty and well made.Dennis made sure our glasses were never empty, I don't know how he put up with our continuous flow of drinks let alone attending to everyone else too but we did not need to approach the bar once, he waited on us hand and foot.
Over to dinnertime drinks where we were looked after by Assim in the bar keeping us hydrated to the max, Osama and Mohammad attended to our needs throughout. Then i could not possibly write this review without mentioning my favourite little bundle of joy Mohammad who filled our days with so much fun and laughter, with him winding us up and playing jokes with us, I just loved to see him every day. In fact I did try and get him in my suitcase to take him home with us, but he had family back in Egypt so we had to let him stay.
Over all, Fig Tree Bay is so beautiful, the beach is stunning and the water is so crystal clear, you can also go out for quite a while before your feet don't touch the floor. The beach is kept clean and very organised with the sunbeds of which there were plenty.
We definitely hope to go again and we have also recommended it to absolutely everyone we know x
Thank you for such an amazing stay xxx
