Fantastic views and water park fun

For those seeking a beautiful backdrop to their holiday, the Louis St Elias, positioned right next to the historic Ayios Elias Chapel and overlooking Protaras’ Fig Tree Bay, is sure to please. While the hotel’s low-rise buildings echo Cyprus’ traditional architecture from the outside, the interiors are bang up to date.

Not content with your run-of-the-mill kids' pool, the St Elias goes one better with a dedicated multi-slide water park for the youngsters. And it's just one of three pools on offer here, as well as a Jacuzzi for the grown-ups who want a bit of hydrotherapy. There's a real feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle here, in no small part thanks to the sweeping views over Protars from the hotel's hilly vantage point. If you fancy a taste of the action, though, there's a handy shuttle bus to whizz you down to the beach and back that runs from mid-April to October.
