"This is definitely not a four star hotel, a 2 star at a push, the wallpaper in our room was torn and there was red stains on the carpet, we were unable to move to another room as the hotel was full. I accidentally left my Kindle on the bed side table while we went to breakfast and the cleaners came into do our room in that time so I was horrified to find that my Kindle had completely disappeared when I returned, I immediately went to reception to report this, who then sent the same cleaner to talk to me, who spoke in their own language, which I could not understand but they could obviously understand me as when I went back to reception I was approached by a lady who said she was the manager without me saying a word, knew who I was and that my Kindle had disappeared and assured me that her staff were trustworthy and had worked for her for a long time, I was not convinced of this, she asked if I wanted the police involved which I said I did, but subsequently no police were called and nothing else was done to retrieve my Kindle. We also had a noise problem with 3 coach loads of teenagers running riot untill 11 o'clock at night for three nights with one quiet night when they left but unfortunately there were 3 more coaches of teenagers causing more disruption over subsequent nights. The food was not four star standard. On the plus side the reception staff and bar staff were very nice."

"Modern "apartment block" style hotel(s) right on the sea front (2 separate units but also linked with at least 2 other nearby hotels) with a separate restaurant, which because of the amount of people it has to cater for was very busy at times. Infinity pool/sunbeds which could get packed at times Clean and tidy rooms with decent air con, beds and shower though could get noisy at times due to thin walls. The Side sea view from the balcony isn’t really a sea view at all more of a Car park view...but if you squint you can just view the sea through the trees. Food in the restaurant was "OK" with quite a plentiful wide choice at both breakfast and evening but beware NO drinks, not even water, are available during evening meals and you have to use the bar/order at inflated prices with your meals (i.e it was €30 for a bottle of wine..). Staff friendly, Check in/out efficient but again whilst they can store your cases after the enforced 10:00 checkout there’s nowhere to change bar the public toilet...a bit of a pain when you have a 6 hr wait for transfers..you can though continue to use their facilities - we didn’t use any of the shared facilities available from other hotels though. Vodice itself is very busy and comes alive at night, but has plenty of places to eat/drink and the thing we liked was the "maître d's" didn't pester you..something of a novelty these days..however it was a suprise when people were smoking everywhere..Overall a great place to visit with plenty to keep you happy...."
