Apartments Duje

"just returned from a fabulous holiday at the Duje apartment. The owner Lydija was lovely, very welcoming and friendly but not intrusive in any way. The apartment was just what we needed. small compact kitchen but with everything provided for a self catering holiday, fridge, 2 ring hob, kettle, coffee maker, toastie maker and plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans and glasses. Nice bathroom and good shower. We had second floor apartment and the views were fabulous. The sunsets were spectacular. 4 short flights of stairs but was fine and we are NOT fit. We spent quite a bit of time at the apartment as it was so lovely and chilled sitting out on the balcony watching the comings and goings of the boats in the harbor. The beach is literally round the corner to the right and a nice little beach bar few hundred yards to the left. We went end of season so some restaurants and bars were closed (would go back earlier in September next time) but there were some bars/restaurants about 20 minutes walk along the promenade. Bus stop to Omis very close to apartment (loved Omis) and every half hour. Bus to Split easy to access too but takes a while as traffic is bad. Small supermarket over the road from apartment with most things needed for self catering. Would definitely recommend these lovely apartments if you are looking for a chilled beach front stay, just make sure you request a sea facing room."

"location is beautiful but very quiet. disappointed we did not get a sea view room as the the balcony we had faced the main road which was busy day and night and there was 3 adults but only 2 balcony chairs. As said before the buses run every 30 mins or so but the journey to split took far longer than 30 mins as traffic was really bad but Split is worth going as is Omis. The only other negative was the owner saw us in the first night but she never left any contact details or we did not see her till we left and we had ran out of toilet rolls we also noted there is no one that comes in to empty bins or make beds etc which is fine if your only there for a couple of days i guess."

"Where do I start? Location: perfect. Apartment: perfect. Owner: the loveliest person you’ll ever meet. We have just spent a week at these lovely apartments. The apartment had a huge balcony overlooking a quaint little harbour & the island of Brac. It was very well appointed with plenty of kitchen equipment including a toasted sandwich maker which came in very handy for making toast for breakfast. Sumpetar is only small with a pizza/fish restaurant 50 metres to the right of the apartment & a little beach bar 50 metres to the left. Both are very welcoming & frequented mainly by locals. There’s a supermarket opposite for essentials & bus stops for Omiš and Split a stones throw away. Lidja the owner is the sweetest lady. On hand if you need any advice but certainly not intrusive. She had beer, water and orange juice in the fridge to welcome us. Gave us cherries from her friend’s tree and when we left, presented us with some local prosciutto to bring home. I think we’ve found the perfect little bolt hole and will most definitely return."
