"We had booked the hotel with half board. The food they served in the evening was a disgrace. Worst food ever. We went out for dinner after the first evening. I wrote them an email the following morning saying this and requesting a refund for the half board. No reply. When I checked out they couldn’t help since I used it and I had to write them an email (which I already did) even though I said we didn’t eat there the last evening. The hotel was pretty much empty in October. Makarska is beautiful, but it felt very strange being almost alone at a hotel. The staff wasn’t very accommodating. When we got to our hotelroom it was 27 degrees in the room and the AC was turned off."

"Really happy with the room, booked a sea view and was worth it, cleaning is fine no problems. Pool area and hotel clean, we had lunch a few times pizza, chips, Caesar salad reasonably priced and good food. The pool areas are nice not life guards, there is a kids club and the gym is the best one I have seen in a hotel. There is also a lovely 5* hotel next door and it all looks to be the same hotel but it isn’t my children used that pool more as it was hotter. Beach is literally, a couple of minutes walk and you get to see the most beautiful sunsets, was quite busy when we arrived but got more quieter as the week went on. There is a shop within a couple of minutes walk and a lovely bakery. Also so many restaurants on the walk to on the promenade, shops, markets, ice cream you will never be stuck for lovely places to eat. The only negative I would have is the staff don’t really like to provide any information, or talk in general and that’s if you see any. We went to the half board buffet a couple of night which was quite pricey £26 an adult £13 a child not a lot of choice and was given no information. The breakfast if included is ok, there are eggs and lovely breads that’s all we needed. Overall a lovely stay in a really lovely place and we would highly recommended."

"We booked room with park view - and we received rooms with view of the parking. When we told the hotel that we did not book rooms with view of the parking we were informed that we should have understood that if you do not pay for a sea view you should be happy with a view of the parking! The tiles in the pool have sharp edges - my grandkids cut them selves on the tiles. The beach chair can be hired for 20! Euros/day/chair - robbery. The hotel was clean but without any charm. The breakfast was ok but not more. I will not come back."
