"Could not have been lovelier! Fantastic location, comfortable and quiet room, staff were so welcoming and helpful. We were on fourth floor, and while we got our steps in coming and going -- staff helped with bags and it was not a problem at all. Lovely sitting area and lobby to have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. So convenient to be right within the walled city but to feel so far away from the hustle and bustle."

"Let me start by saying thank you to my entourage of wonderfully helpful and genuinely NICE staff: (I apologize for the spelling!) Caum, Rodrigo, Hannah, Marro, Peo. Each person extended that warm and fuzzy feeling of being SO well taken care of. My service started 2 months prior to arrival, with every email being responded to within an hour, then on arrival, airport pick-up (Anthony was fabulous), organizing for luggage transfer at Pile gate all the way to your room, Hannah and Rodrigo with Prosecco waiting and an authentic Dubrovnik welcome. My room is gorgeous and spacious. The bathrooms are beautifully designed AND more than spacious for 1 person usage at a time, not sure what other folks below (previous reviews) are trying to do...in-room amenities - Nespresso unit and pods! Premium English tea, and L'occitane products! Anything I needed was attended to within minutes - literally. So I have to make some comments: FOLKS - DO YOUR RESEARCH!! The front page of hotel description says...5 FLIGHTS of stairs, no elevator!! Did you think the hotel would morph into 1 flight upon your arrival?! Don't stay here, in 1 of only 2 Hotels in Old Town Certified as a hotel and UNESCO site if you can't the stairs!! 2nd: You are in Old town! Of course all windows opened will be beside walls, takes 2 seconds on a website to figure that out. Anyway, breakfast and dinner: AMAZING food, cultivated with an innovative, creative, exquisite blend of flavors. Marro and Peo were superb, Marro with the in-depth knowledge of where each flavor originates, wine regions etc. Peo- so kind to pack breakfast boxes for me for my trips. I was sad to leave! No wonder celebrities stay here. THANK YOU"

"Charming small hotel in heart of the old walled town. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts on the roof terrace were delicious and always served with a smile from the delightful waitress. You have to walk up to the 5th floor but it was worth it! The views across the old town are stunning. Dinner at the ‘Above 5’ was amazing. We had the five course which was excellent. The service from Mare, the restaurant manager and Maria is excellent and they made us feel very special."
