Remisens Hotel Epidaurus

"Our visit was in July 2026. The location of this hotel is superb, with a short walk along the coastal path to the town of Cavtat, where there are many restaurants and bars to choose from. The area is tranquil and pretty. The hotel is very large and caters for everyone. If you are looking for a relaxed, intimate stay, this is not the place for you. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. Breakfast is plentiful and there is something for everyone; however, the breakfast room is chaotic and loud, and you need to get there earlier rather than later. There is an all-inclusive option, and most guests appeared to be on this package. Our bedroom was adequate, it did not have a double bed. Instead, it was two single beds pushed together with a slight gap in the middle. We paid extra for a partial sea view and balcony. Don't bother with this expense. You will only see a sliver of the sea if you twist your neck, and the balcony is so narrow that you can barely fit a chair on it. It was also filthy. The sunbeds around the pool were of a cheap variety, and we were lucky to find any available. It was very busy during our stay in early July. We were unable to keep our room for a late checkout and were offered a space to shower in the spa area before our flight. However, there were no staff available to assist us apart from a very rude cleaner. We were unable to communicate with her, and she was shouting at us in Croatian. We also found the staff in the poolside snack bar to be very rude. When I approached with a question, the staff member saw that I did not have an all-inclusive wristband and simply shut the door in my face. We purchased a drink from the bar one evening after returning to the hotel, and it was extremely overpriced, frankly shocking. If you are not on the all-inclusive package, go elsewhere for drinks as they will be a fraction of the price. The pool areas are lovely, but they are noisy. This hotel is ideal for families, lots of childrens activities around the pool, but may not suit couples or those looking for a quieter experience."

"A wonderful hotel for the price! The views from the room are absolutely stunning. The food is simple and delicious. For a 3-star hotel, the amount of food available at dinner was fantastic. I honestly don’t understand why there are so many negative reviews. Thank you for a wonderful holiday! ❤️"

"Wow. The best view from the hotel I’ve ever had. Great location , the walk into Cavtat is truly lovely. Our room was fine with a balcony with the amazing view and best sunsets. The food as said in other reviews was the same at lunch and dinner. We aren’t fussy so always found something. As other reviews all entertainment is centred around the French , this didn’t bother us either. I would return for the view and the sunsets"
