DIT Evrika Beach Club Hotel

"We spent a week at this hotel as a group of two adults and one toddler, staying in two Premium Sea View rooms (rooms 305 and 307) in early September. Here are the main takeaways from our stay: Good Points Premium Restaurant: Excellent food, a lovely atmosphere, and a much better dining experience when traveling with young kids. Friendly Staff: The staff in the premium restaurant were especially warm and attentive. Aside from a few hiccups at reception regarding Wi-Fi, service was generally very good. Entertainment: The evening mini disco was fantastic—high-energy and great for burning off toddler energy. The entertainment team was brilliant. There is also a kids' club on-site, though we couldn't use it as it starts from age 4 and my child is 3. Cleanliness: The hotel is spotless, with staff constantly cleaning the communal areas. Pools & Safety: The pool areas are kept very clean, and there was always a lifeguard on duty during main pool opening hours. Security: Security staff are stationed at all entrances, which provided great peace of mind. Beach: Fantastic beach with soft sand and plenty of available sun loungers at all times. Bar Service: Drinks are generous with their spirit measures, and queues at the bars are rarely an issue. Bad Points Poor Value for Premium Upgrade: Overall, the premium experience did not justify the extra cost. We were not happy with the level of service and amenities provided for the price paid. Misleading Sea Views: We paid for a sea view room but received only a partial view, which was disappointing given other rooms enjoyed full, direct ocean views. Small Bathrooms: Rooms 305 and 307 have bathrooms half the size of most other rooms on the floor (according to the evacuation map, only four rooms have this layout). The tight width of the room means the bath isn't even full-sized—it was roughly half to three-quarters the length of a standard tub, making it so small an adult would barely fit. Navigating such a cramped space with a toddler was very frustrating, so I recommend avoiding these specific room numbers. Wi-Fi Issues: The advertised "Enhanced/Premium Wi-Fi" was non-existent. It uses the same general network as the rest of the hotel, dropping out every couple of minutes. Reception was unhelpful when brought to their attention, simply stating the hotel was busy. Unheated Pools & Accessibility: None of the pools are heated, making them far too cold—even the splash pad, which my toddler refused to use. Furthermore, none of the pools feature zero-entry access; access is limited to steps, ladders, or a single step down, which felt unsafe for a young child. Unenforced Premium Dining: Staff at the Premium Restaurant rarely checked wristbands, and we routinely saw guests with standard hotel wristbands (white) eating in the premium area (reserved for purple wristbands). Room & Elevator Quality: The premium rooms felt basic and the bathrooms are in serious need of a refresh. Additionally, one elevator was out of service, and the remaining two nearby were tiny. One couldn't fit our pushchair at all, and the other could barely accommodate a pushchair and two adults. Transporting luggage required multiple trips. Note: The elevators near the premium restaurant are slightly larger. Inconsistent Housekeeping: Despite seeing housekeeping staff daily, our rooms were rarely cleaned. Our first proper clean didn't happen until day three (though they did a fantastic job tidying up once they did), and the second room went four days without service. With a toddler, an unemptied diaper bin overflowing daily became a major issue. Sunbed Reservation: Guests regularly reserved pool loungers with towels early in the morning and left them unattended for hours. Confusing Bar Menus: Ordering drinks was needlessly difficult because the menu only lists about ten standard cocktails without showing available spirits or mixers. Ordering off-menu resulted in mixed responses—one bartender reluctantly agreed to make a Sex on the Beach, but served a drink that tasted nothing like it! If you can secure a cheap upgrade, it is worth it for the restaurant and dedicated pool access. However, paying full price for the premium tier results in poor value for money, and the overall experience fell short of our expectations."
