"DISCUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE!
A week before my arrival Richard sent me an email, to ask how they can make my stay comfortable being a gold member with Marriott.
My first request was to have a room away from elevator on a quiet side. No reply from Richard.
Arriving at hotel they have said we upgraded you to a quiet room facing court yard, when I went up to room it was right next to elevator with a welcome gift of "used popcorn" bag.
I went back to reception and they offered another room saying it was better, once I went up it was right beside the elevator and infront of the first room.
THE REASON THEY DO THIS IS BECAUSE I USED POINTS FOR MY STAY AND MARRIOT DOESNT APPRECIATE THAT! If one pays with points that means you have spent money previously to accumulated points!
I went back down they then said they were ALL SOLD OUT!
I pulled up my app and they had lots of rooms, she replied that that doesn't mean anything because they can send you to another hotel. I asked for manager and they said all they managers are on vacation and then she took it upon herself to accommodate me.
I asked for a manager to get back to me and as of yet no one has reached out .
They have ruined the name of Renaissance, having said that I would never stay at a Renaissance again thanks to this hotel and management. Let's begin with terrible beds the mattress which have no support and caves in the middle, we are in 2025 and its possibley 20 years old. The rooms are terribly disgusting starting with the rooms are never vacuumed or washed floors, the towels are from 20 years ago the walls are all dirty the doors broken the window can not be opened because the whole exit sign outside the window is full of spider's and full of webs that have not been cleaned for years. From first day we came in the room floors were dirty and still till today they have not vacuumed or washed the floors once. The hallways have not once been vacuumed yet.
They charge $50 per person for breakfast only 2 type of fruits and all pastries are stale and old, yet the only people who care is the front desk staff and restaurant staff.
The management should be ashamed of themselves for hiding behind good staff and using them to there benefits.
Please don't reply on Google and pretend you care. Having said all this MARRIOTT SHOULD BE ASHAMED !!!"
