Arcotel Castellani Salzburg

"My stay at Hotel Castellani with my family was characterized by two very different sides. On one hand, the stay itself was disappointing. We experienced a long delay at check-in (over an hour and 15 minutes), which was difficult with two small children. Furthermore, despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign, staff entered the room only to leave insufficient towels without actually cleaning, and we noticed some lapses in the maintenance of common areas. At the time, it did not feel like a 4-star experience. On the other hand, the post-stay communication was outstanding. After I reached out to express my concerns, the management responded with great transparency and professionalism. They took full responsibility for the errors, explaining that it was an isolated situation during a hectic period. They demonstrated their integrity by offering a fair compensation to make up for the inconveniences. In conclusion: the service during the stay was a 2-star experience, but the management's reaction was definitely 5-star. I appreciate a business that stands by its reputation and takes care of its guests even after they have checked out. I would give them another chance in the future, hoping for a smoother stay from the start."

"Would not recommend, rooms not cleaned on time even for check in had to wait 1.5hours. O understand at busy times such as Christmas it’s busy but get the staff in and get the job in hand done. Rio S are basic with 2 single beds pushed together which do move apart. We were out celebrating 35years of being together as well as Christmas. Tbe reception staff are rude and do t give all the information that a tourist would need such as free bus services if you’re a guest at the hotel. Nothing was explained and rooms not to a high standard. We are professionals travelling and we feel as though the hotel staff treated us as though we were nothing. Breakfast is very basic and coffee was cold. I have travelled lots around the world and never experienced such an awful experience at a hotel. Salzburg is a beautiful place to visit however choose the accommodation wisely. Won’t be coming back to this hotel in future."

"Short family stay. Very helpful staff, good location to old town. Reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone visiting Salzburg."
