Les Borjs de la Kasbah

"Tucked away in the Kasbah area of the old town this is a beautiful Riad constructed out of several properties in the early 2000s. It is clear a lot of thought and love has gone into the property, which is full of Moroccan charm. Whilst the Medina is absolute chaos, Les Borjs provides a peaceful escape. Its a 20-30 minute walk to the main square and souks, with plenty of street food and cafe options along the way (the staff provide guests with a local map and talk through the main sites and best routes). An excellent breakfast is included with fresh fruits, juices, omelettes, cakes, etc (there is no in-room coffee facilities). Service is outstanding with nothing too much trouble - the team will gladly answer any questions about the area, arrange taxis, etc. and there are also some trips bookable from the hotel. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if visiting Marrakech."

"The kindness and hospitality of the team at Les Borjs de la Kasbah is exceptional. Staff were consistently helpful with organising taxis and providing advice. Our group occupied three rooms during our four night stay and each room was scrupulously clean and had its own unique charm. The breakfast buffet consisted of options for every taste - fruits, breads, cereals, yogurts, nuts, seeds, pancakes, omelette etc. Dinner options were delicious and fairly priced. Fellow guests were friendly and courteous. The location of the riad is in the historic kasbah which provided an authentic glimpse into Marrakech rather than the more westernised (and seemingly bland) hotel options at the opposite end of the medina (near to the mall). At a very slow pace, the square and souks are an interesting 30 minute walk with lots of cafes en-route (perfect for people watching). When we return to Marrakech we will certainly return to the charm of Les Borjs de la Kasbah."

"From the minute we arrived on Friday evening, with Mohammed looking after us, we knew we'd got this one right. After a welcome and refreshing tea, we had a tour of this wonderful riad. In fact, the pictures aren't able to do justice to reality, it was gorgeous. The tranquil feeling stayed with us and it was a pleasure to return from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, each night. The spa was fantastic with a great range of extremely relaxing treatments, the restaurant and bar gave us some great options from breakfast through to tea (yes, we are northern!) and the team at Les Borjs could not have been more attentive, helpful or pleasant. This place definitely isn't marmite although we now know marmite would definitely be welcomed by Tom if anybody happens to have some in their luggage! A brilliant experience and would definitely stay here again, Cheers to Tom, Nora and the team, your newest Manc fans!"
