"Where to begin? This was our third year visiting Agadir, but first time staying at Robinson Club. My wife and I stayed here for 10 nights at the end of July/early August and loved every minute- our stay far exceeded our expectations!
Firstly, on arrival, the approach to the hotel is spectacular and gives an incredible first impression. Huge Moroccan style doors open to welcome you, with a view to the stunning and beautiful Jardin Andalous - what a moment.
Check in at reception was warm, friendly and quick and our suitcases were taken from us on arrival and hand delivered to our room by one of the bell-boys (a great touch!), which was ready earlier than the usual check in time- what a fantastic start to the holiday!
We had a lovely room in the Casablanca building which was in the heart of the resort- close to the pool, reception, restaurant and bar, and a short walk to/from the beach. Our room was on the second floor with a huge balcony, with a garden AND sea view, which offered a perfect setting and again went beyond our expectations. The room was huge- it was modern, beautifully decorated in modern yet traditional Moroccan style, and had everything we needed for our stay. Huge bed, sofa and a spacious, well-decorated, modern and well-equipped bathroom made for a perfect stay. Housekeeping was fantastic. Our room was kept spotless every day. On all except one day our room had been cleaned before we had even got back from breakfast- this was a first for us and really, really impressive!
We have to give a shoutout to the technic Mohammed, who came to fix a minor issue with our minibar- it was reported in the morning and fixed before lunchtime with a lovely note explaining that it had been fixed and to get in touch if we needed any more help- what an amazing service and personal touch! Please can the management pass on our positive review to him?
Meal times were such a special occasion!
The main restaurant was super-clean and a good size to cater for so many guests, and a beautiful setting with lots of available space in the five themed rooms - our favourites were Tata, Casablanca and the 16+ room- each of them decorated beautifully and tables set to perfection and to a very high standard. To say there were so many guests, it somehow still felt like a private experience!
Breakfast was a great start to the day- we ate either outside on the terrace or in Casablanca. We really enjoyed the touch of a barista station making freshly brewed coffee to order each morning, as well as stations on some mornings including eggs Benedict and smoked salmon brioches. I have to give a special shout-out to Abdellah, who made our omelette each morning- absolutely delicious- and always with a smile! Abdellah went out of his way to make us feel special, and even taught us some Arabic phrases each day! Please can the management pass on our positive review to him?
Lunch we enjoyed in the Taj restaurant with a beautiful sea view every day. Lunch was varied and there was always plenty of choice. We particularly liked the live cooking stations where chefs cooked grilled meat, fish, pasta dishes and other dishes each day- and we always ended with an ice cream on our way back to the pool or beach. We sat with Yassir for lunch each day, who was a fantastic waiter- he went out of his way to give us a great experience each day, and often brought our drink order before we had even ordered - thanks, Yassir, for looking after us each day and giving us a personal experienxe! Again- please can the management pass on our positive review to him?
Although we sat in different rooms each evening for dinner, all of the waiters were friendly and professional- and gave us a brilliant experience each evening. Food in the evening was outstanding- every evening there was lots of choice, and as with lunch we really liked that there were 4-5 stations with chefs cooking or preparing dishes live for guests. The food was cooked to such an incredibly high standard, and it was an absolute privilege to eat there every evening.
The bar and selection of drinks was great, and the bar staff were really friendly and hard working. There was always somewhere close-by to get a drink- the beach bar, the
The territory of the hotel was huge- stunning and picturesque, and for such a busy place, it felt so calm and peaceful. We loved the beach (private area for hotel guests), pool and lagoon area- all of which were spacious and vast- it really felt at times like a private retreat which made for such a special experience!
One note on the location- the hotel is at the end of the beachfront, so quite a long walk to the main promenade/town- we didn’t mind that at all as it really made us feel we were on a private retreat- but worth noting if you prefer something in the heart of the town.
We also really enjoyed the vast array of activities on offer each day. These were easy to track on the Robinson app which we really recommend downloading and making use of- not only is this where you see the daily programme each day, but also where you can book activities. Between us, my wife and I took part in tennis, padel, meditation, aqua fit, step up, yoga and dance- we loved all of the activities and they were led brilliantly by members of the sport, wellness, spa and entertainment team. Big shoutout to Steffi, Anna and Patrick- we really enjoyed your activities!! We also really enjoyed the pool party one afternoon, after Aqua Fit- music, Prosecco and cocktails in the pool!
We also really liked the themed evenings, which meant that you could tailor your outfits to the theme if you wanted. We especially enjoyed white boho, Moroccan and ROB carpet evenings. We were lucky to experience two ROB carpet evenings which gave us a chance to dress up, enjoy a cocktail before dinner and enjoy a delicious dinner- really special evenings.
Evening entertainment was varied- every night there was either a show, live music, DJ or sometimes a mixture of all three. Our favourite evening was live music evening where Alex and Laura from the animation team sang a special set of English and German songs - Alex especially has an incredible voice. Our only wish would be that there were more evenings like this!
We love live music and enjoyed lunch on two days listening to guest singers the Guitareros and enjoyed three evenings listening to guest artists Marvin Becker and Fabian Edler- another example of the varied entertainment on offer. We also loved the touch of a violinist in the main restaurant during dinner on the ROB Carpet nights.
The hotel also had a vast souvenir shop and a medina which was nice!
A couple of minor areas we would recommend:
* Although we could always access water during all meal times, and bottles from the bar, this was very rarely ice cold- given the heat it would be good if this could be looked in to for the future.
* Around the pool it would be nice if there was some music played during the day to add to the atmosphere- although this is just a minor suggestion
All in all we had an amazing experience at Robinson Club Agadir, and we are so pleased that we chose to stay there for our third visit to Agadir. Thank you for giving us such a special experience- we will be back!"
