A vibrant beach spot in Spain

From the moment you arrive you'll see why Mojacar has a reputation as one of Spain’s prettiest towns. A classic whitewashed Andalucian town in the foothills of the Sierra de Cabrera, Mojacar has access to a slice of coastline renowned for its pristine waters. These gorgeous beaches and their protected coves are both a water sports haven and a great choice for travellers looking to relax by the sea and marvel at striking scenery.

For decades, Mojacar holidays have been popular with artists and creatives, who have made the town and its rugged coastline their muse. Many people today visit to explore the excellent art galleries (many buy a piece of art to take home with them as a souvenir) and to soak up the resort’s bohemian atmosphere. Its inspirational vibe and jaw-dropping landscape make holidays to Mojacar a wonderful place to reflect and recharge by the beach.

Your Mojacar questions, answered

There’s a wonderful microclimate here in sunny Mojacar. Thanks to the Sierra de Cabrera Mountains, it remains pleasantly mild through both the summer and winter.
You probably don’t need one as Mojacar is best explored on foot, and the beach easily reached by following one of the footpaths from the town centre.
This symbol of Mojacar – a stylised man with an arch above his head – comes from an artefact found in the nearby Cueva de los Letreros. You’ll see it everywhere.
