Amstelzicht

"We had a flying visit to Amsterdam so we were just looking for somewhere to sleep. This hotel was OK for just that . Location is good, close walk to trains stations, shopping area, and nice restaurants . We were met by friendly staff at check . Room wasnt ready but we were allowed to leave bags and we got a text when the room was ready. We booked a twin room. Very, Very basic ! Small, with a tiny bathroom. View was the roof of another building, where people could sit out on their balcony so we had to keep curtains closed . If you have mobility issues dont stay here, there is no elevator and the stairs is like rock climbing, its like you are going completely vertical. I think we paid about 280 for the room for the night which was a lot considering how basic it was . No breakfast or bar facilities. It was totally fine for the few hours that we where there but I probably wouldnt book again ."

"Positive: Great location Wonderful view to the water, and - the window can be opened Nice building with an elegant entrance Unbelievable friendly, nice and helpful staff Very good bed Very clean Room has a very good size Although the hotel is small, there is a cosy room downstairs Negative: in the weekend extremely loud until late at night. Don't forget your earplugs ;) Slow and bad WIFI In my opinion, the hotel is little bit too expensive. You should know: as in all old Amsterdam houses, the stairs are very narrow and steep."

"One of the oldest hotels in Amsterdam. For the limited small size of the room and the small bathroom, the owners have remodeled well. The steps are a nightmare, but just take one step at a time! The staff was pleasant, courteous, and helpful."
