easyJet holidays strengthens sustainability promise
Reflecting its commitment to Holiday Better, easyJet holidays has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to join the Commission of the Canary Islands Regenerative Tourism Alliance.
The purpose of the Commission is to position tourism as an active driver of environmental regeneration, territorial resilience and positive social impact in the Canary Islands.
The MOU signing took place on 21 January 2026 at FITUR, an international tourism fair held annually in Madrid.
easyJet holidays will work with the Commission, which includes other esteemed travel partners, on the creation of REGNEXT – the Tourism Regeneration Programme for the Canary Islands – that aims to channel tourism value into nature restoration, climate resilience and community benefit across the archipelago. A proposal for REGNEXT will be submitted to the Government of the Canary Islands in June 2026.
