easyJet holidays reports record bookings on Sunshine Saturday
easyJet holidays has reported its best ever sales day on ‘Sunshine Saturday’, typically known in the travel industry to be the busiest day of the year for Brits to book a foreign holiday.
The best ever sales day since easyJet holidays launched in 2019 saw Tenerife, Palma and Lanzarote being the most popular beach destinations booked, while Amsterdam, Paris and Iceland led the way in city breaks. All inclusive getaways proved to be the holiday of choice, with over 50% of beach breaks being for this board basis.
June was the busiest month for beach bookings, with Palma topping the table for holidaymakers taking advantage of the great value sale prices, while March is the most popular month for a city escape. Cyprus holidays saw the biggest growth in popularity compared to 2022.
Sunshine Saturday coincided with easyJet holidays’ ‘Big Orange Sale’, which offers up to £300 off all package holidays.
Garry Wilson, easyJet holidays CEO, said: “We know that as January sets in people like to book a holiday to look forward to, so we’re really excited to have seen our best sales day since we launched our business back in 2019.
“With the cost of living still very much at the top of the agenda, what we’re seeing is that people are still prioritising holidays. We expect demand will continue with great value playing a more key role than ever, so we’re absolutely committed to continuing to offer brilliant holidays at unbeatable prices.”
easyJet holidays is offering savings of up to £300 off all package holidays currently on sale, by simply using the code ORANGESALE when they book before 11pm on 31 January 2023. Holidaymakers can save £300 when they spend a minimum of £3000, £150 when they spend a minimum of £1500, and £100 when they spend a minimum of £700. Book at easyjet.com/en/holidays
