"Stylish clean comfy hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Guest relations managers were lovely and very helpful in sorting us out and settling us in, nothing was too much trouble.
We needed extra things sorting out for our stay, regarding medical issues, which we contacted them about prior to arrival, by email, which were all dealt with satisfactorily.
Reception staff very knowledgeable, friendly & helpful.
Bus time table available from reception.
Our maid kept our rooms spotless for the 2wks
(551 & 552 on floor 5, lifts to all 9 floor) clean towels provided whenever we wanted them changed. Tea & coffee sugar & powdered milk topped up daily.
Our rooms were bright & spacious, very comfy beds and pillows.
With a great balcony over looking the pool
And we could see Mellieha bay at the side of us
A desk, big mirror & two chairs and coffee table, also a sofa bed.
Air con was a huge welcome as temperatures reached 29, while we were there.
Great bathroom walk in shower, with a stool & a big mirror. Shaving point.
Hand wash & lotion,
Also soap and shower caps by the sink and tissues, and then there was shampoo conditioner and body wash in shower.
Rainfall shower head or normal shower.
Fridge in the room, with a complimentary bottle of water in. was very welcome.
As you have to buy your water, about
4 or 5 Euro for 6x 1ltr bottles from local supermarket, so was great to keep it cold.
Big wardrobes with hangers and shelves in one, and a safe which was free to use.
Hairdryer in room.
USB charging points by the either side of beds,
Iron on request for 24 hrs with a refundable deposit.
Pool towels provided, ask at reception.
Pools are lovely.
Rooftop pool gets very busy, both pools have bars where you can purchase food and drinks.
Two main Restaurants have extensive menus, and could cater for my daughters
Gluten free vegetarian requirements.
Didn’t try the roof top menu so can’t comment.
Breakfast was great lots of choices for everyone, staff so friendly
Very special mention to the amazing Jennifer, such a lovely special lady and very talented to, beautiful voice as she sings in the evening in the hotel. She made the start of our days very enjoyable. We will miss her.
Aryhant also gets a special mention as when Jennifer was off he would be there making us laugh. Lovely young man. So sorry if I’ve spelt his name wrong🙏🏼
We used the services of the spa, having a great full body massage one day just back and legs the next day, using oils.
Gave me great relief from my knee and back problems in my first few days.
Great restaurants in the hotel and nearby
You get a discount card from the hotel for Costa coffee across the rd
And for the Al Ponte Pizzeria & Restaurant on lvl 2. We had 2 lovely meals there, staff are very friendly and helpful.
very near by the hotel are
Gems across the rd,
Svetas down by the church, lovely church.
Burgers ink up the hill just past the supermarket and
Mother India just before that,
And To’sca, at the Solana hotel opposite were all great.
There is a chemist opposite the hotel, and they have a doctor you can book to see.
We needed the services of the pharmacist a few times, who were great,
Only cost 1 Euro for a blood pressure check.
A local Spa shop, is about a 15 min walk up the hill, but there are other local shops.
Lots of gift shops.
There is a free shuttle bus, which will take you through the town to the bus terminus
To catch many busses for around the island.
Bolt cabs are very good and if you plan correctly they are reasonably priced.
All in all I hope this helps others with their visit to Mellhia in Malta.
We’ve had a great stay at the
Maritim hotel
Thank you"
