Lagomandra Holidays

Wine region with pine-shaded beaches

Sitting pretty on Halkidiki's middle peninsula, Lagomandra is a small coastal town with a blockbuster beach. Its vivid blue waters and soft sands have been awarded coveted Blue Flag status, while a pine grove provides welcome shade from the sun, making this the perfect place to while away an afternoon.

When you’re ready to explore this beautiful pocket of Greece, you'll find there are a smattering of picturesque villages on your doorstep. Head to mountainside Parthenonas and you'll find authentic Macedonian architecture, while Neos Marmaras, with its clutch of charming tavernas scattered about the hillside, is as good a place as any to sample a glass of the local wine. Varieties like Roditis, Limnio, and Sauvignon Blanc are grown on the slopes of Mount Meliton, as they thrive in the warm and dry climate with humidity from the Aegean Sea. And even if you don’t make it to one of the wineries to see the vines for yourself, don't miss out on a taste or two.
