The pool scene here is nothing short of spectacular. There are 22 swimming spots dotted across the hotel, some of which are reserved for specific room types. The main pool, however, is the place to be during the day – it’s at the heart of the grounds and is edged by smart sun terraces and a team of loungers and parasols. Potter down the steps at the back of the property, meanwhile, and you’ll soon reach a private patch of Blue Flag-waving sand.
If you can tear yourself away from your sun lounger, you can get involved in games of ping pong, or get involved with aqua aerobics and yoga classes. There’s also a kids’ club and a programme of activities for teens, as well as an open-air cinema for children. You'll also have access to the Kingdom of Poseidon Aqua Park at GRECOTEL MARINE PALACE (payable locally). If that sounds too high energy, take some me time at the Hippie Spa. There’s an impressive treatment menu on offer, as well as a steam room, a nail bar, and a beauty salon. A gym is also on hand if you fancy a workout.
So, let’s talk restaurants. The main eatery is a buffet place serving around-the-world dishes, and it has a special section for kids to choose from. Then you’ve got six à la carte eateries to choose from, which tick off Greek, Italian, Asian cuisine, fine-dining, and their exclusive guest restaurant – Lobsteria – which is only available in high season. The bar line-up features four options, too, including a wine bar and a sunset lounge.
Due to the layout of the hotel, most public areas and rooms may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility. All pools at this resort are seawater pools, including the children's pool.
