"We wanted an affordable hotel for our last minute trip and I spotted this place. I read the reviews and thought ok, it seems reasonable. I can now say it exceeded my expectations. It is very clean and tidy. The room had everything you need - even a kettle! The shower was very good and there is liquid soap in there. There's no aircon but instead there is a big fan in the room that did a great job. The breakfast was lovely and served the biggest pain au chocolat I've ever seen. There are also yogurts, cereal, french bread, cheeses etc. it is close to the metro and very easy walking distance to Sacre Couer and Gare du Nord. The area at the top of the road gets a little interesting after dark but that's like most cities and no one bothers you. I was very satisfied with our stay here. Merci to the staff!"

"My partner and I stay at Hotel Altona this weekend for a 48 hour trip to Paris. We’ll start with the positives. It’s close to the Eurostar terminal…about a 10 minute walk. The staff are lovely and especially Bruno who welcomed us to the hotel. The room was ok. Comfortable and clean. Bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was really clean. The shower was amazing. Breakfast was a simple continental but really filling. Negatives of our stay Our room was next to the lift. So we had the noise of the lift going up and down along with the sound of the door sliding open and shut happening until gone midnight both nights. The walls are paper thin. We could hear everything our neighbouring room was doing in their bathroom. Also a huge gap at the bottom of the door so we had light coming in from the passage outside. We blocked this with a blanket. Also we asked for extra pillows but they didn’t have any. For what we paid it was really good value for money and a good simple hotel to use as a base for a trip to Paris with its closeness to Eurostar and a Metro station a few minutes walk away."
