"Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, Paris: A Four-Star Rating, but a Three-Star Experience Unfortunately, our stay at Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel did not live up to either its four-star rating or the premium price paid. Based on our experience, I would rate it closer to a three-star hotel. The biggest disappointment was the standard of cleanliness. For a hotel in this price category, I expected immaculate rooms and exceptional attention to detail. Instead, we encountered dust, mould, and countertops and light fittings that had clearly not been cleaned to the standard expected of a four-star property. The bathroom was equally disappointing. The shower pressure was virtually non-existent—more of a drizzle than a shower. At this price point, something as basic as adequate water pressure should not be an issue. The rooms themselves felt impersonal and lacking in warmth and character. Considering the exciting Marvel concept and Disney’s reputation for immersive experiences, we expected considerably more. The décor lacked lustre and did little to create the sense of occasion one would expect from a premium Disney hotel. Sadly, the food and beverage experience only added to our disappointment. Our in-room dining experience was terrible. The food arrived cold, badly presented, bland and lacking in flavour. The vegan cannelloni was a particular disappointment. Its presentation was so unappealing that you simply did not feel like eating it, and the taste did nothing to redeem it. Room service at a hotel of this supposed calibre—and at these prices—should be considerably better. We also ordered a lobster roll at the Manhattan Skyline Bar, which was another letdown. It was both overrated and overpriced, consisting predominantly of mayonnaise with what seemed like only a slight amount of lobster. When ordering a lobster roll, particularly at a premium hotel, one reasonably expects lobster to be the star of the dish—not mayonnaise. Dining should be an important part of a luxury hotel experience, and unfortunately, neither the quality, presentation nor value for money came close to our expectations. There were positives. The location is excellent, particularly for visiting Disneyland Paris, and our check-in was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, that was where the positive experience largely ended. When a hotel positions itself as a four-star property and commands premium prices, guests should be able to expect impeccable cleanliness, properly maintained facilities, comfortable and inviting rooms, and food worthy of the price being charged. In our experience, this hotel fell short in all of these areas. The location is undoubtedly convenient, but location alone cannot justify the price. When you are paying a premium, the entire experience needs to match that premium. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. Four-star pricing and expectations, but unfortunately a three-star experience at best."

"Both myself, husband and four children recently stayed at Hotel New York - Art of Marvel. It was our first visit to this Disney hotel, and I'm sure it won't be the last. The hotel itself is stunning and smells incredible! It has a modern, clean, contemporary style, and is very spacious. We had interconnecting rooms overlooking the beautiful gardens, which were perfect for relaxing in after a busy day in the parks. We also enjoyed a family visit to the swimming pool for downtime in the late afternoon; it's a great way to cool off in the hot weather. All cast members were friendly and helpful, and the treats left for us daily in our rooms added to the overall magic ✨️. The super hero station was another win; my children were lucky enough to meet Black widow and she was fantastic! We also had dinner in Downtown Restaurant on the first night, and again cast members were wonderful, as was the food! The bell service was another big plus for us, they unloaded our luggage from the transfer and took care of everything else. We came back from a busy afternoon in the parks and everything was in our room waiting for us! Big win! My children also loved the boutique, and the fact that it opens till 12:30am, meaning you can pop in for drinks/snacks if needed after the night time shows. We also had drinks at the Skyline Bar and Bleaker Street, which were all delicious. Overall we had an amazing 7 day stay here, and would definitely visit again!"

"I had booked an Empire State Club room with lake view for a surprise engagement trip with my partner, and a the time of writing this review (two months later) I still miss everything about our stay. 1. The room: Beautiful natural light, stylish design, loads of space, plenty of storage, great a/c, big bathroom, and amazing views. The bed was sooo comfortable, and the marvel theming was perfect! It truly felt luxurious, modern, and marvel - everything it is meant to be. 2. The hotel: The hotel is just so cool. If you are a Marvel fan, you will love the artwork everywhere. The hotel shop has super cool rare statues for sale you can see in the shop windows. The pool is very nice, it has an indoor and outdoor part, both with sun loungers. There is also a sauna and steam room, both kept very clean; the cleanliness of the pool area and the hotel generally was very good. I’d recommend going in the hotter sunny months to be able to enjoy the outdoor pool, which is surrounded by greenery, and a view of the postmodern architecture of the hotel. The staff is lovely and always ready to help. Generally this is just a very nice hotel with great outdoor spaces. A lovely experience, barely a 10 min walk from the parks entrances. 3. The Empire State Club: I was anxious about the value of getting an Empire State Club room, but it was one of the best parts of our stay. The separate concierge/reception is fantastic and you can pop down there/call them and ask for anything, they will find a way to provide it if for you. The Empire State Lounge was great. The 7 to 11 breakfast without having the book is fantastic, we’d go into the park for 8, come back at 10, have breakfast, and go back into the park - it gives a level of ‘freedom’ that makes your experience really relaxing. The food is great, with some table service options. The lounge is also open all day long and offers unlimited soft and hot drinks. It feels luxurious, and is a lovely space. The offer also includes tea-time snacks, which are massive - one day with skipped lunch and had tea-time instead (they give you A LOT of food). An extra bonus: the room comes with a turndown service, which means your bed is made, the lights dimmed, and they leave special Marvel Hotel postcards and candies. An amazing touch. 4. Gluten free: My now fiancé has a gluten intolerance and I’m happy to say it went wonderfully. The lounge has a separate gluten free part, and most of the food is gluten free anyway. It was a bit of a hassle getting gf bread though, but once again we asked the staff and they saved some for us for the next day. We ate at the Manhattan restaurant and had no issues there either. Same thing in the parks, plenty of gluten free options (I’d recommend following glutenfreedlp on Instagram, they provide very detailed information on available gluten free food in the parks). This was an expensive 4-night stay, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I miss Disneyland Paris, but I miss the Marvel Hotel the most. You will miss the lovely hotel perfume the minute you leave. If you are looking for a magical stay with a Marvel enthusiast, I cannot recommend this hotel enough, especially the Empire State Club room with a lake view."
