"The pros of this hotel were the location was great. The city centre was walkable and it meant the area was nice and quiet. Lots of restaurants/bars nearby. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice but fairly expensive for what it was. Our room was basic but not in a bad way - however it was missing lots of amenities... No tea or coffee facilities - our friends were on a different floor and they had it. No working air condition, a broken fridge and no lock on the balcony door. I say balcony, it was a balcony sized door with no balcony just a fence but it did not lock and a strong wind could blow it open. I did not realise this hotel was supposed to be 4 stars - it most certainly is not in my opinion. That being said none of this spoilt my stay. The room was always clean and the bed was comfortable. That's all I really needed! But it was very lacking for a 4 star hotel."

"Took two rooms for family trip. Location was good enough, out the way so not too busy an area but five mins walk to metro station. Booked one room direct and another via third party platform - breakfast only included with direct booking. Breakfast was quite acceptable. Would happily stay here again."

"During my stay, some of my money was stolen from the in-room safe. When I complained, the staff were completely dismissive, and management refused to investigate or take the issue seriously. When the police showed up (two young officers), they were smiling at the manager and said to me immediately: “You can’t prove the money was stolen.” They said they could fingerprint, but then agreed that all staff had gloves, suggested that I should leave and go to my country as it was the last day of my holidays. Clearly, no one was interested in helping. In fact, there are no hallway security cameras, and the hotel manager literally said they didn’t need cameras. The room safe was outdated with no tracking access. The manager claimed the safe was “too simple” to monitor access. They ignored to install tracking system on their obsolete safes. Worse, he admitted — all staff use identical key cards under the same name, because it’s convenient, so there’s no way to trace who enters which room. I find this unacceptable for a hotel that claims 4-star standards. The manager even said that if I reported the theft to the police, I could be blamed for accusing the hotel of robbery. When I got back home, I reviewed the 7-pages door audit trail, and found something even more disturbing: twice hotel staff entered my room, locking the door in from inside while I was out. I’ve emailed the hotel six times asking what happened and what staff were doing in my room — they’ve ignored every message. There is zero accountability, no interest in guest safety, and no transparency. This hotel not only failed to protect its guest — it seems to have actively covered up what happened. They didn’t take all cash, probably assuming I wouldn’t recount them but I did. I stayed at Hotel Assenzio Prague for 7 nights, and it cost me €1020 plus stolen $100, and spoiled mood. This is not just about bad service — it’s a matter of guest safety and hotel integrity. I recommend other travelers to think twice before booking here."
