Palazzo Donizetti Hotel

"We recently stayed at the Palazzo Donizetti Hotel and had an average experience. Pros: • The location was decent, nestled in an area with a lively nightlife. However, be aware that it’s up a very steep hill and not conveniently connected to Istanbul’s main airport (IST). If you’re like us and prefer a more laid-back, bohemian vibe, areas closer to Cihangir or Kadıköy would be better options. - room was of a good size. Cons: • We stayed in the corner suite, but unfortunately, the noise from the nearby club was unbearable. On Saturday, the music went on until 5 a.m., making it a nightmare to get any sleep. • On one occasion, our room wasn’t serviced. When we asked for housekeeping, the staff didn’t initially understand our request, but after some translation, they kindly and promptly rectified the situation. • The steam room barely had any steam, and the pool was tiny. You can only use the pool if you bring or buy a swim cap, which felt like an unnecessary inconvenience, so we didn’t bother. We didn’t try the breakfast, so we can’t comment on that. General Tips for Istanbul: • Istanbul is almost as expensive as other European cities, but the quality of food can be hit or miss. The best meals we had were from places we researched beforehand—it’s not the easiest city to improvise dining. • The public ferries are a fantastic way to get around, and the people are generally very friendly. • Despite what you might hear, drinking alcohol is not an issue. • Avoid the Grand Bazaar—it’s mostly filled with junk."

"The hotel was the best stay I have in ages in turkey and this hotel met all my requirements location and the value this hotel is located right in the heart of Istanbul just 2 minutes away by walk is filled with great shops and restaurants and fast food shops. the rooms at this hotel were so good the beds were super comfy the rooms were big rooms did have mini bar, air con and plenty storage spaces. the bathrooms were really great shower was perfect. the staff at this hotel were so friendly and approachable and they will help you with anything during your stay giving you information about Istanbul and what to do in Istanbul during your stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a good stay in Istanbul and I will hopefully be returning to this hotel when I come back to Istanbul."

"Excellent location. Very clean. Polite and helpful staff. Wonderful view of the breakfast hall with acceptable variety of food. Large rooms with high height. The negative point was not having any place to smoke in any part of the hotel.near to metro and bus station "
