"We booked this hotel expecting a pleasant stay, but to our horror, we discovered that our room was infested with huge ants. It was just my 80-year-old mother and me, and the situation was extremely uncomfortable. When we reported the issue to the front desk, they told us to speak with the manager—but that only led to unnecessary delays. For two out of our four nights, we suffered in that room while the only solution they offered was to “re-clean” it. The staff were shockingly indifferent. One even said, “Oh, it’s summer—there are just ants that come from the window,” as if that made it acceptable. We were constantly on edge, even dreading going to the bathroom at night for fear of stepping on them. Eventually, after repeated complaints and waiting far too long, they finally gave us another room—but only because I refused to tolerate it any longer. It was clear that they already knew about the ant problem but chose to ignore it, hoping that most tourists wouldn’t notice, especially since the ants were brown and easy to miss. Many guests likely spend most of their time outside, so the issue probably goes unreported. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its excellent location near Taksim Square. However, there were no included amenities such as breakfast, and the general cleanliness was poor—we often found dust and hair in the room. If not for the ants and the hotel’s uncaring attitude, I might have rated our stay a 6.5/10. But because of how unhygienic and dismissive the experience was, it deserves a 0/10. Honestly, I need my money back for the two days of suffering. I have videos but due to the dim light, the pics are not that great."

"We booked 4 rooms here and everything was good. The hotel is located with a very short walk to Taksim square and on your door step has a good selection of shops, restaurants, bars etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, with free bottles of water supplied. Reasonably priced, I would say the hotel in areas are a little dated but that didn’t concern us. We would stay here again if returning to Istanbul."
