Tropical Beach Hotel

"Nice hotel fully inclusive food 16 and over years of age only. Ideal if you want a quieter holiday. However has evening entertainment which usually finishes around 10.30 WiFi flaky at times and don’t get a ground floor road facing room try to get a side or sea view"

"What we loved... - The view was beautiful at every part of the day, the balcony was large enough and comfortable enough for two people, one night we had friends over for a pre drink and four of us fitted out there. - The location, excellently placed for a walk along the front, not in the busy area of Marmaris but for around 70p you can hop on the dolmus to the marina, or for a little more pop along to Icelemer, few shops over the road and the best restaurant we visited Cihan was five minutes walk over the road for authentic Turkish food and atmosphere. Five minutes along the front was Roxy's Show Bar another great evening of entertainment, drinks and food. - The beach was a good sized area with plenty of loungers, parasols and cushions spaced out well. Entry to the sea was a little stoney but fine once in. There is also a lifeguard for the hotel area. A few touts (one for fruit, one for bracelets) but if you decline they leave you immediately. - The variety of food on offer and the quality of the produce (one thing we would've loved to see additionally is a selection of pastries for breakfast, yes there was bread and on one occasion a week croissants but this could have been more regular). Patisserie for icecreams and cakes and snacks bar were also fantastic. - The staff were friendly, polite and constantly checking in to see if you needed anything or they could get you anything. Especially Tomas in the restaurant, and the two girls who were in the dining hall. Overall though, all staff were friendly. - Pool was a good size for the hotel and the openig times of 8am to 7pm were good. It was clean and refreshing. - Comfort of sunbeds. Decent beds with good cushions. Also, the number and availability of beds on the beach. - A few cocktails on the AI package which were nice. - The service of rooms, constantly stocked with bottled water, cleaned all the time, towels refreshed and toilet paper etc stocked. - Air con was good in the rooms. - Lifts were efficient and quick. - Evening entertainment we felt was good for this size hotel. Enjoyed the karaoke nights and the singers. What we think could be improved... - Sunbeds, yes it happens everywhere and this place is no exception even for an adult only, small hotel. However, we did manage to get beds, but needed to set an alarm! We don't want to set alarms for holidays. We witnessed numerous people saving beds from about 630am and not using them all day...they sat at the beach or the bar. Simple solution - timers on beds if there is a towel on it but it is unoccupied, a 60 minute timer gets placed, timer goes off, towel is removed and bed is freed up. Or just get someone observing it isn't that big of an area to be able to see who is doing this. - Rooms need refreshing and updating. They're tired and need some TLC. Clean but dated and tired. - Bed, the pillows were amazing, the mattress was like a slab. Far too hard and personally uncomfortable after one or two nights. - Cocktails were included but I think that each day a premium cocktail could be added as an AI option just for a change. Visited other places that do this and it's a great treat. - Entertainment - there was music around the pool which we felt was at the right volume, but please change the CDs. It was so repetitive every day, every few hours the same songs. - Animation, as a small group we felt this is the area that needs immediate attention. It was so samey, we declined darts once, were never asked again, same as table tennis although both we observed and they were very sombre and morose games. We did do the aqua gym but this was only fifteen minutes and it is the exact same routine and speech every time - a lack of enthusiasm, literally "eyes on me, do the same". Change it up a little, and be more animated. If you're the animation person and you are engaging with people, engage a bit more. Animation we found was flat. The cocktail game was advertised as was water polo daily, these never took place once over ten days. We get that not everyone wants in your face entertainment, and we don't either but if you are the animator be livelier and entertain. Overall, the things above for improvement would not stop us returning and the good far outweighs what could make it better. Food and beverage staff made the experience brilliant as did the location and the pool."

"Just returned from a 10-night stay at the Tropical Beach Hotel in Marmaris and had a fantastic holiday. The hotel has around 160 rooms over 5 floors and was clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The standout feature of this hotel is definitely the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, polite, and always happy to help. A special mention must go to Tomas, who checked on us regularly and made sure everything was okay whenever he saw us. He, along with the rest of the staff, really goes above and beyond to look after guests. The pool area isn’t massive, but it’s more than adequate for the size of the hotel. Food was good, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack bar available throughout the day. Another big plus is the hotel’s private section of beach, where guests can use the sunbeds free of charge. There are a couple of areas that could be improved. If you want a sunbed by the pool, be prepared for an early start, as most are taken by around 6:30am. We also felt that the daytime activities were quite limited and the evening entertainment wasn’t particularly memorable. That said, these were only minor negatives and didn’t take away from what was a wonderful holiday. The excellent service from the staff, good facilities, and beachfront location made this a great place to stay. We would definitely consider returning and would happily recommend the Tropical Beach Hotel to anyone visiting Marmaris."
