"This hotel is super located if you travel with children as the “cuidad de las artes y ciencias is just around the corner. Also the big Gulliver Parc, the Oceanographic and just other general parcs at Turia. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel which brings uou directly into the city centre or to the beach (make sure to buy a travel card at the metro station, sooo much money to be saved). The restaurants around are ovepriced aa it is quite a touristy area- but still, there is a choice for everybody. We didnt have breakkie at the hotel as ee like to go to cafeterias for a croissant and coffee. The personell at the hotel are abaolutely fantastic, specially at the reception. The room was good, but needs to be refurbished, the flooring has aged and just the attention to detail is not up to date anymore. a deep cleaning (the edges, the stuff the daily cleaning cant solve!) is necessary. the normal daily cleaning is perfect and the staff is very nice too though. Mattrasses are on the soft side for me, but i normally lime very hard mattrasses. aironcditioning was there but too cold for us (was not able to change temp, and didnt ask so maybe it would have been solved) The blinds didnt open completely so we could only open the window a tiny couple of cms; wasnt bothered by it, so didt pass the issue to reception. Gym was good, the running machine is not the newest, but its all usable and there are many weights. The rooftop bar is nice; lovely views, but totally overpriced and the vibe is very poshy, wanna be chic. prices are similar to switzwrland. The restaurant Senyoret is also totally overpriced. touristic prices for the food. My son didnt like the menu and got spagetti with tinned tomato sauce (tomate frito) and we still paid 12.- for it. I am Spanish so i know what prices can be. (we had a menu at a local restaurant for 17.- eur; including: bread, beer/wine, starter: pasta, huge salad, rice dish…, main: pastas, rice, meat, fish… and dessert or coffee). This should be the normal prices. For a puce of fish with 5 pieces of grilled veg i paied 22.- eur in the hotel restaurant. the service was a bit awkward too i have to say… 😅 Overall nice if you plan many visits around the area, and again, special kudos to the wonderful receptionists "

"We spent four nights here in room 401. It's at the back of the hotel and I usually take a picture but didn't this time. It's unremarkable looking back into the city. The front rooms will see The Queen Sofia Palace of Arts which is stunning to view. The room is large and comfortable with a large bathroom. It's quirky with sliding doors and light switches you will never master in the time you spend here. Fun though. It also needs some work and decoration. Some wallpapers have been patched and the veneer to the side of the door is peeling from the bottom. All worked well and we enjoyed our time. We wanted to buy travel tickets for buses; trams and Metro but the information we got from Bruno on reception was useless. He couldn't explain how they worked and then covered himself by saying he never uses them. Well tourists do! Breakfast is first class. Plenty of good choices and the ladies on arrival are wonderful. All Barcelo hotels we have stayed at have great breakfast options. We also used the rooftop bar. Super views and a lovely place to end an evening. We jumped on the Metro from the airport, Line 5 to Amistat then walked via a couple of bars. It was cheap but we got a taxi back from the hotel which was €31. Buses 19 and 40 stop right outside for the centre of the city. I would return if ever we go back."
