"First with the positives..
The location is excellent. A short, easy walk takes you to the beach, shops, restaurants and the local market, which makes the stay feel convenient and well placed without being noisy or chaotic. Siam Park and Siam Mall easily accessible using the free shuttle (only a few mins walk away to the bus stop) or about 8-10 euros for a taxi.
The hotel is generally clean throughout. Bedrooms, communal areas and food spaces are all well maintained. Despite some reviews suggesting the property is tired, we didn’t really find that to be the case. Yes, a cosmetic refresh would modernise things, but overall it feels perfectly acceptable for a 4-star.
Food is to an acceptable standard with plenty of choice, particularly at breakfast (the kids enjoyed the pancakes with chocolate sauce). There’s enough variety to keep things interesting across a week. The restaurant staff work extremely hard and clear plates promptly. Staff across the hotel are pleasant and friendly – no issues at all with attitude or service.
Desserts are a bit hit and miss, but we had some genuinely excellent ones during our stay. The soft scoop ice cream machine is a nice touch (when it’s working)!! Coffee from the bar area (when made on the proper espresso machines) is of good quality.
Rooms were clean, and when we requested an extra pillow it was delivered promptly. Overall service levels from staff were polite and efficient.

Now for the areas that need improvement.
At peak times the dining area feels like a zoo. Large volumes of people everywhere. It’s not relaxing unless you carefully choose off-peak times. This is compounded by the fact there are no specialist bookable restaurants onsite. Everyone dines in the same buffet space every night. Given the hotel’s footprint, it feels like a missed opportunity.
Most surprising of all – no outdoor dining. In Tenerife’s climate this is a real flaw. The ability to eat outside would transform breakfast and dinner, ease congestion indoors and dramatically improve atmosphere. Its absence is hard to understand and, for us, a genuine drawback.
Food temperature was inconsistent at times. On more than one occasion items were not piping hot. That’s basic buffet management and should be tighter.
Public toilets need attention. The men’s toilets by the food area had no handwash (only 1 broken dispenser that had fallen off the wall) – not acceptable next to where food is served. Several cubicles were out of order, and the hand dryers across the entire hotel are infuriating, constantly cutting out mid-use. Small operational details, but they matter.
Water from the drinks machines is inconsistent – sometimes fine, sometimes tasting like swamp water. Cutlery is another daily almost comical irritation. Teaspoons and dessert spoons are often missing, meaning you have to go searching. Simply putting out plenty of spare cutlery would solve this instantly.
The all-inclusive drinks system is unnecessarily confusing, and it feels like a disproportionate number of drinks aren’t included. No amaretto on the package was disappointing (my wife’s favourite). Coffee at breakfast from the automated machines is average at best, but the kids loved the hot chocolate.
Sun loungers are reserved early with no visible enforcement, making it difficult to get a good spot. Only one pool is heated; the others are freezing. Charging a deposit for pool towels was unexpected for an all-inclusive.
Evening entertainment is underwhelming. Evenings felt flat and lacking atmosphere compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in.
The gym is not really fit for purpose and purely for show. Machines are tired (slack treadmill belts being one example), and there’s no water cooler, which is careless and promotes dehydration. As a big gym lover family we were very disappointed.
Finally, noise. The walls are paper thin. You can hear toilets flushing, snoring and conversations in neighbouring rooms. Our room faced the road, so traffic noise was noticeable in the morning. Lie-ins are virtually impossible – thin walls combined with children running and shouting early morning (and again late at night) mean sleep is easily disturbed. Not entirely the hotel’s fault, but sound insulation is clearly lacking.
⸻
Overall, 4 out of 5 from us. A well-located, clean hotel with good food and friendly staff. However, there are several obvious and fixable operational shortcomings – particularly the lack of outdoor dining and better dining structure – that stop it from being truly excellent. We may return, but we would definitely explore other options first."
