Considered Antoni Gaudi’s masterpiece, even unfinished it attracts 4.5 million visitors every year and is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It’s an extraordinary example of Gaudi’s unique architectural style and unlike any church anywhere else in the world. A 20-minute walk from the hotel, or 15 minutes by Metro, it’s not to be missed.

    La Rambla

    Taking a stroll down La Rambla is an absolute must when visiting Barcelona. It’s the city’s most iconic street – a largely pedestrianised boulevard stretching 1.2km from the Columbus Monument, by the port, to the Plaça de Catalunya at the northern tip of the Gothic Quarter, home to an abundance of places to eat, drink, shop and generally experience the buzzing atmosphere. It can get rather crowded, especially in peak season, but the great thing is that there are plenty of quieter side streets to be explored all the way along when you feel the need for a breather. You can get there in 15 minutes from the hotel using the nearby Glòries Metro station.
