"Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Check-in was easy and the staff were very helpful. The room was small but for a few days and being out most of the day, this was not an issue. When we first got in the room, we noticed quite a few black gnats flying around. We noticed they were coming from the bathroom and the little overflow hole in the sink. Very strange. We just put a little cotton wool to block the hole and this worked and we didn't see any other flies until we removed the cotton wool when we left. Maybe maintenance should look into this. Aircon worked well and cooled the room well. The beds were pretty firm and there was only one spare pillow, so one of us only had one pillow, which was pretty flat. Overall, we did enjoy our visit, but I am not sure if we would return to the hotel if we returned to Barcelona."

"We stayed here for two nights. For the price, it was sufficient. This hotel is located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter so it’s close to many sights and sites. However, there are plenty of hotels here to choose from. I went by the reviews but after staying here I would look around. Angel at the front desk was wonderful and so helpful. He was high point of our stay. The beds were rock hard and uncomfortable, the pillows were pancake flat, and we didn’t sleep well. There was also a rock festival just down the street which went until 4am - my husband didn’t sleep much that night. I had earplugs so I was fine. The loud music was not the hotel’s fault but it was a frustrating night. The room is small (yes, it’s Europe but it’s still pretty small), there is only one mirror so if someone is in the bathroom and the other needs a mirror for makeup or whatever then there’s no ability to do that. The room was pretty quiet (other than the rock music). Located just a few steps from the metro which is convenient if you need it. Lots of bakeries and restaurants close by. They offer a breakfast for 14 euros pp. Overall, for a short stay it’s fine. If it wasn’t for the beds and pillows, I would have given a 4-star review."
