"Due to an early morning flight time, we did an overnight stay after a cruise to get a good night's rest in preparation for a 23 hour travel day. The initial reception at check in was very welcoming and pleasant. The check in process was quick and easy. We had booked the hotel through the VISA Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection, as history has proven to us the hotels listed in this program are truly luxury. There are several benefits associated with the programme and one of those is a complimentary upgrade upon arrival, if availability permits; in this case it permitted, and we were extremely pleased with our room upgrade. The room was well appointed and extremely comfortable. This is a new hotel and I would guess it is less than one year old. It is a very large facility, and we used very few of the amenities available to us. We were told at check in the main dining restaurant was not available that evening, due to a special function; however, the lobby cafe/bar, Deluxe, would be available. After enjoying the balcony for most of the afternoon, we ventured out looking for dinner. Our first and only stop was the lobby...no need to go any further. There was a DJ playing some music, and the lobby was a buzz with activity. It was apparent there was a small conference happening in the hotel, as most of the people seemed to know each other and were talking and having a good time. So we joined in! Deluxe has a small but good menu, we had a few local beers and some wine to accompany our dinner. The food was excellent and the service staff were friendly and attentive. We went back to our room about 8 pm and went to bed shortly thereafter. Had a great sleep, the mattress was very comfortable. We were up early and checked out before breakfast was available; so unable to comment on breakfast. Check out was very quick; again the staff were friendly, pleasant and very professional. We noticed all staff were very relaxed and helpful. The doorman/security were very quick to offer assistance. Definitely a location we will visit again if the opportunity presents itself."
