Sercotel Amister Art Hotel

"A very clean, quiet, air-conditioned hotel with helpful receptionists. One in particular arranged for a kettle in our room on our arrival with no fuss at all (coffee is available at a station in reception but we English need our tea !!! ). I stayed 3 nights with my 16 year old granddaughter during the heat wave - the air con was very welcome and so was the pool and the iced, flavoured water in reception !! My granddaughter also enjoyed the sweets offered at the water station. No restaurant but lots of options for food nearby and an order in menu (quite expensive). We used the metro for speed, (nearest station Hospital Clinic) and found we were very near (3 stops) to Sagrada Familia, Passeig de Gràcia (2stops), bit further to Park Güell and to the beach. Metro very easy and trains so frequent."

"Two nights with no hot water...no warnings from the management, no apologies. Despite being in a good location and with nice rooms, the way management did not manage the situation made it an experience to forget. I do not recommend this hotel and I will not be returning."
