"We had a great time. I can definitely recommend this hotel. Got a very nice room. Breakfast is great. Staff is friendly. Close to shops, restaurants and communication. 25 minutes walk to Sagrada and 40 minutes walk to Catalunya. We would love to stay at this hotel again. Recommend!"

"I was attending a nearby conference and spent two night at the Novotel City, Barcelona. I arrived early and was told to drop my bag and return at 2pm when my room would be free. Upon return I was advised it would be another half an hour. Eventually, the hotel upgraded me to an available corner suite, which was a nice touch. The room was large with separate lounge, bedroom and en suite bathroom and plenty of storage space. The only downside was it gets warm quickly as has a lots of full-size windows and so needed to put the aircon on (in March) to lower the room temperature. The curtains in the room also need to be manually closed which requires navigating bits of furniture top get to them. At night the lighting is quite dim, even wit all the lights on. The room service meal on the first night was tasty, albeit off a limited menu. Breakfast is a substantive buffet with a wide variety of choices available. The one annoying feature of the hotel is the lifts which you need to activate with your room card but can be tempramental and are prone to needing to get the card re-set. Staff were friendly and courteous throughout the stay and the hotel itself is about a 20 minute walk to the Sagrada Familia."
