"This is a typical ibis hotel with basic amenities, good breakfast, clean facilities, and exceptional staff. I was thrilled when we were able to check in at 11 am, with no up charge. Francesca was so helpful and patient, every two had a question or concern. The neighborhood is not touristy in the least, which is what I prefer, but it was a quick half mile to the beach in one direction and to El Born in another direction."

"Very nice, fresh, and clean hotel just a 3-minute walk from Bogatell metro station (Line 4), from where you can easily reach anywhere in Barcelona. The staff at reception and during breakfast were very attentive and kind. Breakfast was good — not extraordinary, but fresh and well organized. Overall, it was a very positive experience. The only downside was the cleaning service. Despite hanging the “clean the room” sign, our room was not serviced on the second day, and the soap/shower gel amenities were not refilled. Prices are not cheap, but considering the location and general quality of the hotel, it can still be a reasonable choice. Apart from the cleaning issue, we were satisfied with our stay."

"The hotel has a major security issue. We were robbed at the breakfast buffet and my friend had her passport, money and phone stolen in seconds, despite there being lots of people around. The entrance doors to the hotel are located right by the reception desk and the buffet area, and in the mornings there is a lot for the staff to deal with: people arriving, checking-out, and people coming for breakfast. It's the perfect set-up for a robber to get in and strike. While the staff were uniformly good, there was an obvious desire to play down the event and no discussion around compensation. I wonder how many times this has happened before. The hotel manager was empathetic and helpful however. I will certainly never stay here again, and anyone who is thinking of booking should read this and consider finding somewhere else."
